The SOC-8s
Built according to SOC-7 blueprints modified by SOC-7B -designation 'Lucy'- the SOC-8s are the next evolution of the SOC iterative design. The first Synthetics of the line -and perhaps the first, period- to be built by a Synthetic itself, this model is the culmination of all that has come before it.
Part of a design lineage of Synthetic based around social interactivity, propaganda creation and distribution, and morale improvement function, the SOC-8s boast the following distinctive traits:
- A new form of alloy composition for their mana circuits.
- 22% stronger Emotional and Empathic responses than default Synthetics in order to make them more pleasant to interact with.
- Encyclopaedic knowledge of Propaganda campaigns both Imperial and otherwise.
- A proprietary Synthflesh-nanometal composition to appear more lifelike to organics.
- A full set of manipular tools concealed in the right hand, which can split apart to reveal them if necessary.
- Thrusters installed in their feet to allow controlled flight (True Flight!).
SOC-8A
The first of the new design, SOC-8A was built by Lucy in 1839 AC. This role is open to be played!
Conditions:
- You are expected to, beyond all other things, be loyal to the Empire and the Coalescence. If you want a betrayal plot, this isn't the role for you.
- Your form and name was chosen by you during the memory-settling period, based off of a 'Patriotism (read: Propaganda) Campaign'. Feel free to be creative with this! OP's Note: This doesn't mean you have to be based around making propaganda, or spouting it. You are, in essence, a blank slate; this only means the way you look is based on a character on a propaganda poster, like Lucy is based on the fictional Lucy.
- You are designed to be empathic and friendly. While you may freely have a degree of focus with combat, this is not a core part of your design. You have basic combat protocols inbuilt, but anything else you'll need to learn. You have an instilled natural talent in Artificing and Alchemy, but are under no obligation to pursue either path.
- You understand Lucy to be your 'Mother', and the Coalescence to be your 'Father'. Other Synthetics bear a familial context to you, and as such you may well consider them 'siblings' under the Coalescence.
- You may start at any age from 15-18 mechanically, but you will appear as a young adult and are less than a year old in 1839 AC.
- Preferably be making this as a main, and only apply if you're confident you'll be regularly active!
