The sky above the Desert turns a sour crimson color, as the sands shift into a dusty grey with death. A climatic battle between the Bloodmistress of the Shadowmire and Rajak scarred the desert, their battle ravaging through the wilderness.

Eyewitnesses' reports confirm that the vampire emerged victorious, leaving the fae in quite the sorry state, and leaving with her in tow.

Soon afterwards, Rajak comes forward with a public declaration.
Quote:
"The Bloodmistress shall pay for her heinous crimes against my people, and Achyon's. But, there is yet hope for her. Ariel Cirque, surrender yourself to me, and I'd be willing to let the fae walk away.
I also whole-heartedly welcome any denizens of the Mire to Achyon, for honorable one versus one combat, for the Bloodmistress' life.
If Ariel fails to surrender herself, and the challengers are unable to best me in combat; the fae will die."
The execution of the Bloodmistress will be held Today, 7PM EST. (Saturday).
Unless, any of the above terms are met.

Clotho Moira publicly responded to Rajak's challenge, declaring to a crowd of gathered Achyon citizens that she was a sworn member of the Cult of Nyx and intended to fulfill an oath "of bone and blood, word and thought, spirit and soul" in the defense of Xian Antirrhinum. The two traded words prior to their conflict, with the metaphysical mage musing on some advice the late vampire Edingel Sinaldine once gave her, as well as the concept of taking a vampire's blood forcefully, rather than being given it.

The fighting was fierce, and incredibly bloody, but as a crimson mist settled upon Achyon's arena, Rajak repeatedly slammed Clotho's head into the ground, yelling obscenities in his victory. Just as he claimed it, however, the Shadowmire's forces burst through Achyon's gates, fervently assaulting the city in hopes of saving the life of Xian Antirrhinum.

Clotho disappeared in the chaos as more blood, yet, was spilled.

Perhaps, she wondered,
if she could have ended it all, then and there.

but fate did not write such a tapestry,
nor did she.
