Pyroclasm and Cinderflare

hi folks it's me!

after recent testing Prinny and I did regarding both Cinderflare AND Pyroclasm, and this is what we have discovered... I took a gif and broke it down frame by frame, damage by damage. Yes i'm that autistic.

Cinderflare:

The MASTER spell of Explosion, Cinderflare, only does 3,449 damage compared to Pyroclasm's near 8k.
We also, in our round of testing, CONFIRMED Pyroclasm's stun only lasts for a second now (despite changelogs?)


My actual suggestion:
1) Make pyroclasm back to 2 actual seconds? If it needs it? I'm not actively fighting so I'm unsure.
2) Tone Cinderflare's damage up a smidgen. For a master, WHILE HAVING A REALLY COOL EFFECT!!!.... It's kind of sad. The effect doesn't offer additional damage. We tried!
3) Tone down the tick damage on pyroclasm (or, alternatively, the amount of ticks it does. either or?)

anecdotally i've found that skilled opponents are reliably capable of comboing pyroclasm into holy/shadow cannons and other beams fairly consistently with the 1 second stun. i dont really feel like it needs more than whatever the stun currently is (if it's 1 second), but that's from the perspective of someone getting hit by it.

Stun times should probably be standardized (and I believe they are. Both whips are gcde and 1, same with Pyro.)

The big change is that Pyroclasm shouldn't be doing, what, 15-18? Spell damage. Buff Cinderflare's damage up a bit to compensate.

Fully seconded on this. Fighting someone with pyro is oppressive even at 1 second. 2 would be game-ending if you get hit by even a single pyroclasm.

But also reduce the damage because 8k on a stun is insane.

btw!
i'm not saying GUT pyroclasm's damage at all
it's an intermediate and you have to spend 65RPP to have and use it

but deffo tone it down and buff Cinderflare up.

The thread isn't wrong. The changelog last states that Pyro was fixed to 2 seconds, yet it doesn't feel like it. The ticks can be a bit much, so the toning down of it's damage is fine, while the stun time deserves its proper timing.

15-18 spell damage huh? wow, i didn't know i could use pyro as a burst spell. i thought it only stunned! good to know.

pyro still bugged....

fire stream also now confuses for 10+ seconds after it ends for some reason
