Coming from humble beginnings, your father became one of the most prolific Holy Magic teachers of his generation. He can boast a list of students that spans two generations and continues to grow, beginning with the first he ever took under his wing: your mother, Chaska. He sees himself as a lighthouse for the lost, helping others reach their potential. He expects you to do the same, no matter what path you choose.

Though you shared his attention with your many siblings and his many students, it never seemed as if he had less love to give. He always spent time with you as you grew up, and he still keeps a close eye on you now. No matter what happens in his life, he will always make time for family.

Even though he lives in the city, some part of him still longs for the open air of the mountains. The Tarians call to him, and you may feel that call as well from time to time. Family trips to the woodlands outside Osrona and even as far as the Sluthian and Magnolian borders brought your family out into the wilderness, a place your father dearly loves.

Once an heiress from Magnolia, your mother fled a loveless betrothal to come to Esshar. Seeking adventure, she studied under your father's tutelage for several years before leaving to join the Vanirhallans. There she developed a talent for battle and a strength that has not waned despite long years of peace. After her ties with the Vanirhallans were severed, she settled down with your father in Osrona and her life changed. Always a motherly figure, she began to teach children at Starfall and tend to the orphans of the city as if they were her own children.

Her love for you is the foundation of her magic, the culmination of many years of strife and heartache shaped into hope by the hard work of her husband and your cheerful presence in her life. There is nothing she would not do for you.

There is much adventure still in her heart, and many stories she tells you when she thinks your father isn't listening. Stories of brave heroes, star-crossed lovers, and the balance between darkness and light.

Who You Are

There are 5 available "canonical" children in the Alder family.
Lokir Alder is Chaska's son from her prior relationship. He has black hair and blue eyes, and is the oldest of Chaska's children.
Sasha and Elizabeth Alder, are fraternal twin sisters who are nearly identical. Sasha has blonde hair and blue eyes, and Elizabeth has blonde hair and purple eyes.
Orion and Freya Alder, fraternal twins, brother and sister. Orion has blonde hair and blue eyes, and Freya has purple hair and blue eyes.

Chaska has purple hair and heterochromic purple and blue eyes. She is small in stature.
Lucas has blond hair and blue eyes. He is of an average height and build.

What You Were Taught

You likely have an affinity for the magic schools known by your parents, and potentially for Wind or Water, the hallmarks of your father's family that may have skipped a generation.
Holy Magic surely comes easily to you, as you were immersed in its warmth for your whole childhood. Your parents will teach you if you wish to master it.
Both your father and your mother are expert Artificers, and will instruct you in the use of the forge and various crafts.
Your mother is a skilled Medic, a proficient Cook, and a master Alchemist.
Your mother, father, and your adoptive brother Marek are proficient Farmers and share an indoor greenhouse tended by the family.
You grew up in a family of idealists, but your parents also instilled a peaceful outlook in you. They hope you will let your words speak louder than your weapons.

What You May Inherit

Star's Shelter Orphanage is owned and run by your parents, and will be passed down to any child who shows an interest in caring for children.
Your family's manor house in Osrona, purchased from the Blue Lion guild, is likely to go to one of the children once they find a spouse and start a family.
Your father's holy tome, the Libram of the Teacher which contains his journal and life's work, will be passed down to whoever follows in his footsteps as a Holy Mage.
The unique Arcane Crucible constructed by your father and his childhood friend, Malthasar, is sure to be passed down, along with plans on how to use it.
