The very first iteration of the Magus Defense Force: A team of fifteen nonmagus warriors educated and trained on conflict against magi. The armor they don appears to be steel-based in nature, with a coating of Tyrium to nullify oncoming magus attacks. Strange cartridges grafted to their shoulders and legging armor house small cylindrical constructs dubbed Nomont Mana-Batteries. They seem capable of holding a charge that feed the Tyrium in their armor and weaponry to prevent them from dropping dead!



Despite their exemplary resilience in a combat demonstration, they were dispatched, leaving Asura injured!

While their attempt to demonstrate equivalence in power failed, the advancement in technology applied to nonmagi only proves to be the beginning.of the Nomont's efforts.

"Make no mistake, for this failure is not cemented fact of nonmagus inferiority, but a demonstration of our incline for the heavens -- The magi can be equated to, and soon enough, they shall have an equalizer. A massacre in the dunes!
Reports of a skirmish amidst the desert dunes between Asura Nomont, a nonmagus sympathizer, and the Magus Defense Force against an Ogre spread across the land. It is claimed that they were flanked by eyewitnesses but otherwise no survivors in the assault. One MDF soldier gave their life to attempt to save Asura Nomont, resulting in a blinding mana-based explosion. No MDF soldiers survived the onslaught. The broken form of the nonmagus merchant was spotted being carted off by a nonmagus sympathizer to safety after reportedly taking a full strike from an enraged ogre. Remains of the battle show half-buried corpses and crimson stains, soon to be swallowed by the dunes of the unforgiving desert-scape.
