Though he never possessed land or riches, it appeared a tightly bound scroll would be found in the depths of the Order barracks. Neat scrawl upon it with what appeared to be a rather long letter.

To whom it may concern,

If you're reading this, I finally died. Sorry about that. But it's okay, at least that means you're probably alive. That means you can still do some good in my place, and make a few more people happy in the world.

I was never strong, most people could call me a burden if they were honest. But my friends never looked down on me, and in turn that warmth is what I sought to give the world where it so desperately needs it.

Clearly that's no longer something I can do. But the rest of you are strong, and I believe in you every step of the way. The world can be changed for the better, everyone deserves fair judgement. Stand tall where I could not.

A further addendum appears to offer a relatively long list of personal messages to people he had met that had made his life such a beautiful one.

Ermir - We talked about it, right? Wearing costumes, becoming the kinds of folk heroes people can believe in? Now you've got work to handle for the both of us. It's okay, you were always the strong one of our duo, I'd have probably gotten in the way. You'll master thunder and lightning, just remember to fish once in a while! Relaxation is key.

Cortado - I'm sorry I wasn't a great Rhoynish. I don't think strength is my strong suit, and though it will be necessary, I don't have much love for battle. But you gave me a family, and I know yours will give you the same warmth you gave me. You'll have to be twice as Rhoynish for the both of us, but I'll be rooting for you brother.

Elise - You're gonna go far as a cleric, you'll have to live without being part of my adventuring party I'm afraid. But you can make people smile and bring the light in my absence, I'm entrusting it wholly to you. You'll do great.

Rosaline - Always did say this day was gonna come around! Luckily, of all people you were always present for me to confide in. I'd say you'll be an amazing priestess, but you already are. From merchant princess to the light itself, not bad at all. Remember to smile, and it will all be alright.

Perosa - Find something that makes you happy in this world, I'm sorry I wasn't able to bring you as much joy as you did me. You were the best older sister a guy could ask for, and though you were sometimes harsh, it was always for the right reasons. I'll always be the mascot of the Pero Club, that's probably legal as a dead knight. Maybe. 

Alexei - I will sadly not be able to meet you at the top, but that doesn't mean you won't get there yourself! Keep at it, and it'll all go well, I'm certain of it. You had the hair for it, now you just need the shoes.

Titus - Life's full of tragedies, but every one you make it through will make you more ready for the next! You're a sharp guy, I'm sure you'll go your own way on your own terms.

Julian - You were the most mysterious janitor I ever met. I'm sure you'll go on plenty of hard boiled adventures full of action and moral consequences! I'm sorry I could not be your side kick, I don't have the heart for private detective work. I'm a hero, after all!

Orain - As the rogue of the party, it's most important you see this! You're one of Osrona's brightest minds, and one of my best friends. You were there with Ros from the start to make me feel at home in the Fenrir, and even though I might be gone, I know with someone as good hearted and kind as yourself, Osrona has a bright future.

A small inscription sits at the bottom, a crudely drawn wolf clearly scribbled by the sickly boy.

Fenrir means tenacity. And tenacity is the resolve to fight even when you're weak.
