Three major Osrona organizations start their recruitment process, however they are always eagar to recruit others who couldn't come to the evening or needed more time to think about their future as a magi.
The Recruitment Day announced earlier for the Shimmering City went off to a resounding success.
A transcript was made for all magi to read in their free time so that they can make an informed choice when deciding their journey as a magi in Esshar.
Feel free to approach any relevant member of each organization if you wish to join their ranks.
These groups are just the beginning for Osrona. Many new groups based in Osrona are likely to form as more magi decide on forging their own path in life. Be sure to keep an eye out!
Amori, Archmagi of Osrona, giving a speech to start the day about the values of the Shimmering City. Wrote:Amori clears his throat. There is one or two faces in the crowd he didn't expect to see. All the same, he continues.
"Welcome.
Many are you are likely from Osrona originally and graduated so congratulations. Some are perhaps not from here but wish to set up residence.
The walls of this city are open to you.
I'll keep this brief. Today we're here to give you opportunities to join Osrona's ranks properly in which your diploma's will come in handy.
This city is one that relies upon all of our people. That relies on the Faith and our belief. At her heart, it's a city that treasures life, compassion and justice.
And like these three virtues, there's three main pillars to this city.
The Order of Second Dawn filled with knights.
The Church of Faith with priests and priestess.
And the Blue Unicorn of medics, artificers and alchemists.
If you're here to become a priest, you're in the wrong place however all of these groups will mingle with one another and work together.
Our goals in the coming years will have the same focus as always - defending our people and stomping out the evil that lurks.
If you do decide to stay here, what's required is a common respect for those around you. To follow the laws of this great city.
Now. I'll allow Paca to speak on one of the many guilds of this city, and Orain to speak on the Blue Unicorn.
After that we'll help you enlist."
He gestures his son Orain forward.

Geztelle ven Pelleaux, Stellus of The Faith, giving a speech about the The Faith. Wrote:
Despite being the Stellus of the Celstial Faith, it had been a great number of years since Geztelle spoke at the altar. Preaching had never been her forte to begin with, and she left that to the clergy.
No matter, she felt quite at home, especially since she had been primarily at the Academy in the last decade. A soft smile presenting itself upon her countenance, recognizing a few of those gathered before her.
"Welcome."
Her tone soft, yet clear and audible all the same. The voice of a woman who was used to being in leadership, demanding attention, despite coming across as kind.
"As you are well aware, this is the primary Church for the Celestial Faith. Since you are all here, I can only presume that you are interested in becoming acolytes."
Especially considering there were other organizations recruiting within the arena, anyways.
"I don't intend to take up that much of your time today, but I would like for each of you to first state your name, and whether or not you would like to become an acolyte. Just so I know who is who, and then I will ask an additional question."
(Geztelle ven Pelleaux)
"It is a pleasure to meet each and every one of you. You have gathered here for various reasons, some having an ardent passion in theology, and others simply attempting to peek through the crack in the door."
"No matter your individual motivations, it was the stars that guided you here on this day, and this opportunity will not be squandered."
Her smile widening slightly, as she began to pace southwards, gaze shifting from each person, before moving back towards the altar.
"My name is Geztelle ven Pelleaux, the fifty-seventh Stellus of the Celestial Faith, and I have been so for nearly thirty years now. I am also a practicing White Mage, and the bearer of Maltziel's tome."
The latter of which was tucked neatly within her pack.
"Since Saint Niles established this church near two millennia ago, we have stood to safeguard both the knowledge and the sanctity of the Essharan people for generations."
"Be it through charity, combat, or scribe work, Priests, Priestesses, and Keepers have stood aside those within the Order to defend both Faith and nation."
A momentary pause, as she continued to pace up and down the red carpet.
"We look to the stars for both guidance and wisdom. The celestial beings above store the knowledge of all of humanity, as it is through the stars that we are cleansed and renewed after death."
"They are the pillars of Eternia itself, and where the lifestream flows most heavily."
A lot of this was stuff she knew by heart, of course.
"Embarking upon the path of an acolyte, joining the Church, it is an entirely selfless act. You will set aside your personal best interests for that of the people and faith overall."
"You will be expected to not give into temptation and excess, as you will represent the church directly. You will also be expected to study the Codex Cosmos, which are widely accessible within the Church's library."
"The calling of the Faith is one beyond just yourself, and if you are looking to become rich, powerful, or famous... you are advised to leave now."
(Geztelle ven Pelleaux)
Amori, Archmagi of Osrona, speaking about The Order. Wrote:Amori nods once Orain and Paca concluded. The whisper braces him and scanning the crowd, his turquoise eyes shift from person to person.
"In case any of you were unaware on what enlisting in the Second Dawn means; it's to protect the city. To follow orders. To fight for a cause that is more than yourself.
If any of you remember Dame Elliwyn, who unfortunately stepped away, I'd say if you think of becoming a knight to follow in her footsteps. She was loyal but also had a mind for forward thinking. One of our best and brightest.
This is also the time for questions. So ask what you need to."
(Amori)
Orain ven Pelleaux, one of the leaders of the Blue Unicorn, speaking about The Blue Unicorn. Wrote:Fashionably late as some may call it, a certain figure sifts through the ensemble of bodies with idle 'excuse me's as the Pelleaux unceremoniously slides to the front, stepping over to Amori's flank.
Teal hues scan and weave through the faces, most of which were all too familiar.
A hand rises, moving to adjust the tie upon his neck and straighten the shirt beneath his cloak. If it wasn't obvious enough, he was a bit flustered and lacked time to prepare for looks.
But he was ready to speak at the very least. "Hey there," he greets, offering the most lackadaisical wave before the pervaded group. "As most of you know, I've been one of the few who runs the Blue Unicorn. To the uninitiated, the Blue Unicorn Company is the premiere establishment for all things innovative. Medicine, artificing, alchemy, you name it and we support those that pursue it."
"Though majorly a clinic, the Blue Unicorn houses public spaces for those who wish to pursue their craft. Yet what entails being a member of our staff?" A pause as he fumbles his fingers into his pocket. Out comes a ripped piece of parchment bearing his stratagem for his piece as he passes a second of his attention to it. "Expeditions, research projects, and opportunities is what comes through."
His hand returns into his pocket as a smile creeps up by his countenance. "Above all else, we're the backbone of keeping magical supplies running into Osrona."
He clears his throat, winding down his piece. "So, if anyone's interested in this pursuit, the clinic's doors are always open."
(Orain ven Pelleaux)

Paca Elementa, Pride Leader of the Blue Lions, speaking about The Blue Lions, one of the many guilds of Osrona. Wrote:Paca would take some deep breaths as it seemed a crowd had gathered. The plans seemed to be going well. And a big smile would be on his face. But also some nerves would show. He had spoken before at the academy, in front of a giant crowd. But today was all about him and the Lions. He had to make sure that things were clear and concise to everyone around.
A big gulp would come from Paca as he took a few steps back to let Amori speak. He knew how important today was for the future residents of the city coming from the academy. For them to know of Osrona values and goals. So Paca would bide his time, thinking hard on what he would say.
With Amori's speech going on, Paca would be filled with pride. A strong sense of enthusiasm for the Shimmering City, the one that stood tall against the darkness that became so widespread across Esshar in recent times.
Wiping a tear from his eye, Paca would step up once it was time for him to speak. A small shiver would go down his spine as he took a step forward. Clearing his throat, Paca would look on over to the crowd and try to see the faces that were there. A wave would come as he smiled, happy to see so many familiar faces. But then he'd straighten out ready to give as good a speech as he could.
"Welcome everyone! I'm glad you all could turn up!" He'd start out as his smile became more and more natural instead of being one of nerves. "Today was put together so that everyone who would attend would have a clear view of what their life would be like if they chose to be an Osronian resident and work at one of the great organizations here."
"I know many of you might be a little unsure of what you wish to do with your future. Some are graduating students of the academy curious about where their life would lead. And today I hope you all find out about a place you can call home!"
Paca's arms would throw wide as he looked on with genuine joy. "For me personally, I will be speaking about my guild, The Blue Lions."
"Many of you might have heard of the Lions before, I have been vocal about being it's leader for years. But some might be curious about what the Lions are."
With a nod to the crowd, Paca would continue. "First thing I want you all to know about the Blue Lions is that we are not a military guild. We are not a part of The Order, you are not required to fight in any wars for Osrona. All military actions you do on behalf of Osrona will be your own choice."
"However!" Paca would exclaim loudly, clearly making sure to emphasise this point. "We are an Osrona based guild. You are expected to behave as is expected of an Osrona resident. Use common sense, don't cause trouble for the city, and don't be evil."
Paca would let that sink in for a moment, before continuing. "Now how do the Lion's operate?" He'd ask rhetorically, not waiting for an answer as he continued.
"It's simple really. When you join the guild, you become a member of our family. This is a very important point for the guild. You become a member of the Pride. As a fellow brother or sister of those in the Pride, you are expected to have our back. And the rest of the members will have your back."
The grin on Paca's face would shift slightly as he chuckled a little.
"But having each other's back is all well and good. But the main purpose of The Blue Lions is for the Pride members to help each other to achieve their dreams. As a member of the Pride, we expect you to give it your all to help your fellow members to achieve their dreams. And you can expect your fellow members to give it their all to help you achieve yours."
"If this sounds like a group that suits your way of life! Come see me after everyone has spoken today. Our guild has been going strong for years, and we plan on going strong for many years to come! If you have a dream you want to accomplish with your fellow Pride be sure to see me!"
(Paca Elementa)
