The Altar of the World Tree

Ryujin's attention is not so easily earned.
but when have things ever been easy for us, my brothers and sisters?

The Grand Temple of the Forefather  was freed of the demonic presence that tainted it, and several relics of power were obtained... but many of them were cursed.
One such curse left the agonized spirits of those of the temple screaming for their own mercy inside them.

All they wanted was to be freed. To be allowed the peace and quiet that they sought from death.
Until someone intervened, the loyal followers of Ryujin would remain trapped inside this artifact, in constant pain and torture.
From there an idea was hatched, to further the Fireblooded campaign in earning Ryujin's blessings.

They'd travel to an altar faraway, one with a deep connection to the center of the spirit realm.
Releasing these tortured souls to Yggdrasil so they can find their rightful home at the Forefather's side would be possible there.
But it would be dangerous, as the altar is known to have powerful guardians.
