Sasha has reached a point in her life where she has become heavily conflicted. Guilt from prior actions within the Second Dawn and guilt from abandong her home city during times of war has sat heavily upon her heart. While it is unlikely she will ever truly be forgiven in the eyes of her superiors and her friends for those actions, what worries her most is the path she treads upon now in the future.

She has decided upon taking a holy pilgrimage to one of the many sacred sites that litter Esshar in hopes of guidance and for  penance. For the crimes of abandoning her comrades in arms during war and for what she felt was a great betrayal of her friend Cathrene, Sasha leaves for the high temple dedicated to Jaethael, built upon one of the many sites said to have had the Arch Angel of Wisdom walk the earth of Esshar.

Her penitence and seeking guidance will follow multiple trials. Weeks of starving the body while strengthening the mind, self-flagellation and finally, a spiritual journey within the soul itself to face against her darkest of fears to find the resolve she once had many winters ago to face against the oncoming tide of darkness Osrona faced before cowardice and the selfish preservation of herself over others damned her.

Finally, to show her rebirth and to cleanse herself of the taint of her spiritual failings, she is to be bathed in holy fire, scarring the body temporarily to be reborn again as the defender of the people she once claimed to be.
