Happy birthday my wife.
If only I could have helped you.
I've spent the last fifty-eight years trying to ignore the tug in my heart. The feeling of your spirit being ripped apart that night should have been too much for me to bear. Mars confessed that if it had happened to Basil she'd have ended herself then and there. Does that make me strong, I wonder. We made a promise that we'd meet again in the spirit realm. Our son promised that he'd wipe out the creatures that held your essence away to make you whole again; I managed to let him die, too.
Sometimes I wonder if you've looked at how our kids turned out. Tea... did just fine. She had your passion and my blood. Would you believe it if I told you she ended up marrying a guy who was... just like me? Probably. You always had an eye for me. I remember the day we met. I remember when you forced me out of my body. I remember when I forced you out of your world. I remember when we met again. Mo'Cha took a bit longer, but he eventually understood that he wasn't alone. That we loved him. He took a leap and broke out of his cage.
Don't worry, Ella. They know you loved them.
Last night I heard your voice. I don't know how it happened, but I'm certain it was you. I thought our bond was gone, but there's no denying it was your hand that laid in mine. I wonder how much of you there's left to free. I wonder if you'll ever be whole again. I wonder if you'll be there when I die.
My years are nearing.
Keep watch over him when he's freed. I could never bring myself to do it.
Tomorrow I'll go to the temple.
Tomorrow I'll connect the gate.
I've always hated those who hoard their treasure and do nothing with it.
