The Nightwalker
Quote:'The Moon Guides us with her brightness, but she dwells within the darkness in order for her to do so."

A young child of the Azcatil Tribe, Slowly preparing her blade as her lavender hues slowly focus upon that of a wild boar. her gaze never leaving the prey,  as the Daughter of Ixchel would remain hidden within the lush canopy within the jungles of Moxtli for the right moment to strike. Salivating slowly from the appetizing look of the razorback, it was fairly big in its own stature and it had been hours more than a few hours since she has truly eaten anything at all. Her desire to feast as well as her childish impatience would degrade her mental composure, far too to swiftly to comprehend the current benefit of patience. Swiftly, she would pounce at the boar. Her desperate movements far to slow to match the boars swiftness, As the boar would outpace her short burst of speed with easeLeaving her with nothing for herself to feast upon.

her belly cramping as it murmured in the absence of nourishment. Another rustle of the ferns could be heard by Yohuali. Her ears twitching Yohuatli swiftly turned to see who it was, only for her ear flaps to slowly lower as her lavender hues would look up towards the figure as she had stood in place, The young nagual child was scared, but familiar with the person.
"You are a child of Ixchel, Yohuali. Born into this world as a natural-born hunter, It is time your start to act like one."

The words, the venomous tone of that agitated Figure. It was that of her father, who had watched her daughter attempt to hunt wild boar. As his hunter's gaze would pierce at the young child. He would continue forth with his lecture.

"I have warned you on multiple occasions to hunt early so that you do not starve whilst hunting."

Yohuali's head would slowly lower as she began closing her eyes, what was said was very clearly true not even having a single word or excuse to even muster for herself. Rather she teared up and pouted at her disposition to her father. Stomping her feet around as if she had expected the boar to become easy prey for her catch. Her anger and disappointment would push her to formulate excuses in front of her father, rather than hold responsibility For what had occurred, her ears and tail springing upwards.
"It isn't FAIR father! The boar caught himself a lucky break! Running away so swiftly like that..." She stated.

Her father's hand would reach the girl's shoulder gripping it furiously. As his knee would strike against the young child's stomach. Causing a sharp pain, further amplified by the fact that her cramps were growing against her. Herself gripping her stomach in pain as she swiftly leaned towards the trees to for support, the young huntress would not even dare to bend the knee upon the ground, out of pure fear for what her father would do to her next. Prostration showed a willingness to become weak, and willingness to surrender your livelihood to those before you. Her wincing would slowly be met with silence as she would look up towards her father and listen to his next words carefully.
"It can be hard to survive in such an ugly, unforgiving world such as this. However, the cycle of living, surviving, learning, and walking out even stronger is a beautiful process if one can accept it and strive for it. However, do understand that as long as there is victor's then the fallen shall remain as well. Do not squander your blessings by making excuses or even pitying yourself, or you allow a world of weakness and fear to bear shape within. In this world, there is the Survivors and the fallen. Understand Yohuali?"

Yohuali would slowly nod. Slowly maintaining her composure as the middle-aged man would extend a sigh. Slowly he started to turn around, walking away as he would slowly descend into the canopy from whence he had come. Rustling as the leaves would slowly shroud his figure untill nothing was left.

Quote:The boar had left sizeable footprints upon the ground. And the time was slowly fading as the day was slowly transforming into the night. If she had wanted to feast, she would have to hunt her prey down and soon. Swiftly preparing her blade she would move on her feet, following the footprint trail and the scent of the boar. Her pacing hastening her feet slapping against the soft soil covered ground of Moxtli attempting to find its source as fas as she truly could. The sun slowly decending downwards as time was naturally racing against her, The trail slowly fading, and her surroundings were shown growing near dark untill....

Quote:A sihlouette of a Razorback was revealed to the young huntress. The shadow moving with tranquility Her lavender hues trailing as she found the source of its shadow. The darkness slowly shrouding her, as the moonlight has finally risen giving her prey the spotlight. Slowly and carefully, she would make her way towards the tall trees that cover the lush jungles of Moxtli Carefull as to not make a sound. She was now above the Razorback boar. Her eyes leering at the prey below her. The razorback boar completely oblivious to its stalker intentions Yohuali would slowly grip the trunk of the tree, the anger of dissapointing her father had unintentionally manifested wisps of umbral energy. Mental illusions would force her to ignore all other distractions, her hunger, unessesary thoughts, and everything other than the boar was surpressed. As the umbral wisps shrouded her hands and nails and took shape as renewed sharp claws, as she was reborn as a beast.

Quote:Yohuali would release her grip from the tree. Now diving straight into the unsuspecting razorback boar. Her hands covering her preys eyes in complete darkness, her umbral claws digging straight into the Razorbacks vision. The boar would squeal in agony, as its noise would alert the other animals as it desperately attempted to shake off its attacker. But to no avail, as the young huntress would remain Fastened on her opponent her claws digging deeper into the boar. Its panic and fear would force it to slowly tire itself in overexertion, swiftly ripping her claws from the beast, she wasted no effort to finish what she had started. She placed her hands upon the skull of the beast mustering all of her strength, a meaty crushing sound would be heard upon the boars head.  The life of the boar finally at rest.

Drenched in her prey's red Ichor, she walked towards her home with her meal in her hand. Her glowing lavender hues facing her home as she gorges on her meal, basking within the moonlight.

Quote:Months have passed since that day. Undertstanding the true facets of what she had experienced. As her first prey was now adorned on her as leather armor, and bones used to help her familiy's crops. Soon she will prepare herself, understanding that for what she desires, for the world is both hers and those that pride themselves Azcatil. And what cannot be given to them, must be taken for them.
