Kirk Simmons/Alastair Grimr

Backstory
Alastair Grimr grew up on the streets; And while he did have a home, he had very little to his name as a whole. A small family of four. His mother, father and a brother. The parents of the two normally were out attempting to scrounge up coin. They never really had enough. They always were late for rent and barely mustered up enough coin for daily food. This made the young boy have to fend for himself. Making him want to figure some way out of this hell whole of a slum. He'd imagine being in the city that was just on the outskirts of his reaches. --The glistening city of Osrona.

With this thought in his mind, he made a valiant effort to strive hard, and steal only when he absolutely needed to. While he struggled to survive, he started to go to school, and he used it as a place to pick up on various skills. Bartering, composure, and basic leadership skills were the main ones. Also he found out he had a knack for alchemy. Something that he built his future around… well sorta. Around that same time he found he could only call upon wind magiks. While that's not a bad thing since at least he is a magi, it was the only thing he could manage. However it wasn’t long before he decided to use that and his alchemy skills.

He wasn’t as talented with magic as his brother was. It made him jealous. Thus Alastair found himself studying different poisons, and drugs. Creating a few of his own even. Just to keep up with the others around him. While his parents praised him, he never knew why his parents were so hostile with his brother. Eventually as they grew up he would see him less and less. At a point where his parents started acting like they only had one son. It was at that time that rumors spread around town, that of a witch being within the village. It was about a kid that got into a fight. Permanently scarring them, and leaving black soot etched into his skin. He remembered his brother was scolded recently for getting into a fight. It made him think. “Was his brother whom they’re speaking of?” He’d bring it up with his mother but she would just try and shrug it off; But he learned to read people rather well, and he knew it was smarter to drop it.

One night, something felt off. A strange sensation, one of a bad omen. He tried to ignore it, but it was his mistake. As it hit midnight, his parents came rushing from the basement. A place he never was allowed into. Yelling for him to get out, he’d listen without a second thought. --As they got to the door the whole house was set asunder. A black flame surrounded him and shot up the walls of the small building. He used his wind magiks to burst through the door giving him a few seconds to exit. Once he got outside he’d look back. The kid thought his parents were behind him but they weren’t at all. He attempted to look for them but his vision was blocked by the crowd around him. They were running for their lives caring little for a kid. A group knocked him to the ground. While scared he’d cover himself and heard a loud roar. With Something rocketing out of the flames with extreme speed. He wasn’t sure what it was, but he could only assume.
He never found his family ever again after that day. He was completely alone, but it wasn’t all that different. Just he started doing odd jobs in town. Gathering up coin for him to start a new life. After a couple years mustered up enough for him for him to be comfortable. Not having to worry about having a lack of food for any day of the week. It was only after he had obtained this money he got word of the café. All the talk made him extremely interested in going there, as it seemed to be getting rather popular. So he headed out to find it. All things considered it wasn’t all that hard with the traffic that it amassed.

Alastair at that moment found a new part of himself he didn’t know he had. --Quickly he was enthralled by the atmosphere and made it common for him to go there rather often. After a while he met the main man Tonak Botcher, the head of the establishment. He ended up getting an offer for a job. He took it as it allowed him to start the new life he wanted. With his new life came a new name… Kirk Simmons, and this is his tale...
