Don't forget about /pray command for in-character message to admins. Some people may say: "Hey, you already have ahelp". But let's compare:

"Hello. Witch antag rolls on me with cap 2, and I don't want it. What to do?"
and
"Dear Angels! I pray to you for protection so I can continue preaching the light. Shield me from evil with you eternal grace. Send me a sign. What to do?"

I think, second option may even result in a nice narration (or may not, how admin decides it)

Because you are shutting down a game for a while it may be worth to review damage system.
Separate Magical damage (from most spell schools) and Physical damage (from Armed and Unarmed). It is done in League of Legends for example. Some skillss may deal combined damage.

You may have two types of armor: anti-magical armor (and amulets) and "traditional" armor. Or, maybe make armor have two values - physical protection and antimagical protection.

FOR EXAMPLE:
You can RP an archmage who is protected from magic, but does not have a physical protection, because he is convenient that he's going to blast everything from afar.
It also allows you to justify Tyrium armor (anti-magic armor).
