Gold Coins for Blue Blood

A singular messenger bird flies from the central point of Barsburg, making a beeline straight for the united home of the Nyseans and Teraphim, Myllenoris. This bird bears a letter tied about its ankle, seemingly not written by hand, and instead redacted via typewriter, a true rarity in Essharan lands. It bears the imperial mark of the Barsburg High Command, and contains strict orders to be delivered to the Lightbringer, or if not applicable, to the High Lord of Myllenoris. The letter itself is immaculately crafted and taken care of, sent with vigor and care to be near pristine when it arrives at its destination.

Strangely enough, crumpled up and delivered alongside appears to be a draft of a letter, little more than stamps and clippings from books and scrolls, colorful and bright.. A first draft, perhaps, or a joke from General Docro, perhaps calling back to a priorly ocurred incident, not intended to be seen. Regardless- The intent of the letter should be obvious and apparent. A simple statement, a simple behest...

But, would Myllenoris give in to these demands?

Somewhere, in the abandoned Nysea, the ground shifts as a body rolls in it's grave.

A dumb boy, for a dumb girl.

After waiting for so long, Barsburg finally gets a response. As the messenger bird seeks out any of higher authority, be it Tanya or Walter, or even another commanding officer that has authority over their prisoners. The letter seems poorly written like it was done in a rush to get a response back to them quickly. With a few scribbled out words, it goes a little something like this.

Quote:
I, The High Lord of Myllenoris, Alexios.
Have captured one of your own soldiers.
Have one of your Barsburg soldiers captured.
After they spoke so boldly of Phillip's capture, they were seized.
In exchange for her safe return, we request a swap, instead of the fifty-thousand stated before.
We hope to do an exchange for both of their lives, returned back to each of our cities instead.
Your word means quite little to me, especially after Tanya fed me lies of how she suffered.
Let's hope you don't prove thats all your good for, lying to people.

Prove to me you can keep it by coming to this location, with one or two of your own soldiers.
And swapping the prisoners normally, so that we may have our people returned home.

Time and place can be discussed.
