This is just a quick overall of the game's development within the next month! A run down of some of the things to expect in upcoming change logs. I think I may do one of these every so often to break down what's in store since people enjoyed the development wish list breakdown, or maybe it's more fun as surprises?

Code
  • The 'messenger bird' functionality which will send a delayed IC message (with common sense stipulations) to a target for a fee. Will make arranging scenes in-game easier.
  • Dungeon keys that can be generated by guild members, encouraging guild organized boss hunts. These bosses will have enhanced attack patterns and be in specific dungeons of varying difficulty. The main purposes being to provide a more interactive way of generating money other than mining for the common man, and to give a mechanical benefit to active guilds. Characters may only be loyal to one guild post-change.
  • Customization of name/description/sprite for food once you reach 100% cooking.
  • Tier 1 potions for alchemy that last a year and grant potent passives.
  • A lot of QoL changes (fixing UI issues, social changes, adjusting how perms stack, etc)
  • Cosmic aura recolors... Maybe?
Sprites
The focus will be on spell sprites (namely for bone and sand) with metal recently getting the Titan's Lance addition. Afterwards we'll be working on an expansion for interior prop decor.
  • A large wave of sand (like tidal wave in water)
  • Field of bones for a scattered AoE effect
  • Sketal rib cage that forms in front of the caster
  • A bone lance/drill that's animated with 'dash'
  • Interior decor sprites!
Map
As always the map team is making constant improvements and changes to suit the IC of the game, whether it's the ghetto-fication of Osrona following Myllenoris's purge and the Coalition's heavy taxation or the mass migration of Nyseans. While we're very content with how the map is at the moment and think it's in a good place, and aren't looking just to change things for the sake of it, some things potentially on the radar:
  • Improving the overall 'feel' of Myllenoris since it's more in line with a upper class elf city. 
  • Wrestling with the beast, Theria, to have a very clear congregation area as it is all scattered at the moment.
  • Secret hideouts. Guild HQs beyond cities. Ruins. Start a guild up and get something added!


& of course your feedback/suggestions are greatly appreciated. A lot of the game's past and future improvements come directly from the suggestion sub-forum and back and forths in Discord. Thank you all for being very passionate about the development direction this takes!
