Hope wanes in Esshar.

The colossal failure of Myllenoris and Nysea's siege on Theira forces their armies back to Starfall tower as legions of Demons, Drakenite, and Razuka reinforce the bridges. Yet even with the death of King Alexander rai Petrakis II by the hands of Imperator Walter Docro and the capture of multiple high-ranking knights, the combined forces of Osrona, Theria, and the Dreadwoods do not make a move towards the cities of the West.

Instead, their armies are clad in new armor and weaponry, the individual iconography replaced with that of a Chimera of dragon, hound, and demon, and positioned on the eastern end of both bridges. The leaders of Theria and the Abyssal Covenant each make an address, culmination in the announcement of their new alliance, the Pact of Beasts.

"I do not commit half-measures when I command for something. At the beginning of this war, I said I would have the Vale. That claim did not waiver when my demons were pushed from Starfall, and it has not waivered now that the king of Nysea has died. My legions, and the legions of the Pact of Beasts stand ready to utterly wash my opponents into the sea.

But I am a noble, and merciful king. One unlike yours who now resides as dust in the wind. 

I will give any who reside within Nysea and Myllenoris three years to make their choice. Abandon your angels, your dead gods, and prostrate yourself before me and live. Or resist, and share the fate of your pitiful king and die.

Under this pact, and under my covenant shall the children of man find safety. 

But my claim has not changed. I will have the Vale, and the forests around it will burn during my advance. 

Make your choice, and do not delay. Lest more of your beloved die in vain."

“Sons and daughters of Theria, the walls of the great fortress of the mountain Tarian HAVE NOT FALLEN. The spirits and the stone rejected the dragonslayer king’s claim, and so an empire has been broken upon our frozen walls. Each spear and rifle contributed to your freedom this day, many fought and died to ensure we have the right to determine WHAT’S RIGHT.

“But we couldn’t have done it without our allies. The Dog Emperor’s ushering of the crown of the fallen kingdom to the heavens ushers forth a new era. The dark host that held our walls with helfire so Garljing could remain sleeping are as much architects of the times as myself. So ends the age of gods and divine right, of stagnant natural order that remains unchanged year after year. So begins the age of anarchy, the land will become a burning crucible for those with the heart to fight!

By decree of Demon Lord Blaidd, Nysea and Myllenoris has three years to surrender their forces to the Pact of Beasts before their forces ride out to raze the Vale of Myllenoris.

The time has come.

Swaths of lesser demons and greater demons, drakenites, and mercenaries from Osrona have begun to gather at the eastern edge of the bridge connecting to Starfall Tower. The mercy extended by the King of Demons Tyranny wanes to under a single year, and he does not delay in his preparations. His goal has remained the same since his first address in the Dreadwoods. 

Tyranny is to have the Heart of Myllenoris, the Vale.

"In the years leading to this siege, I have judged what remains of the West. It's people, it's pride, and it's courage. I have found all wanting. 

Your heroes die. The next generation scrambles to put up even the most meagre of resistances, and you cling so desperately to what little scraps of hope you have left. I saw the death of your king, of your radients, and of your people. But make no mistake; I have already given my final mercy to your people. The time that I granted you was to choose between life, and death. 

All of Myllenoris has chosen death.

Demons of the Abyssal Covenant, spare no one! Feast with wild abandon, burn every tree and scrap of land into unrecognisable ash! 

Today marks the final moments of Aschea's presence on Esshar, and the final days of their arrogant people.

For it is the Demons that shall retake the Vale, and no one else!"

The Patriarch of the Fireblooded Pachua gave a similar speech.

"Those of Theria, we have our mission to handle what is given to us. The Herald of Vartuul sees this as an oppourtunity to give the sleeping Garljing a boon so great that he wilk wake up in amazement.

Together, we can prove our worth and show our dedication as the Fireblooded. Together, we can get rid of the noble families that hunt our Dragons and use their scales as weapons.

Together, we will amass enough treasure and lives that will please Garljing like no generation before has done.

But of course this is your choice, and your road.

And as for Revan and his group of traitors, I will see you personally in the battle field for your cowardly sins."

The first battle at Starfall will happen this Saturday the 8th at 6 PM EST.

Thanks for the memories, even though they weren’t so great.

After the recent events within the Shimmering City, a change can be seen within the mountain city of Theria. Any signs of the city preparing for war have ceased. The loyal soldiers have been sent home, and the forges have been allowed to cool. The Overlord of Theria, Valero Task, took to the stage to say a few things.

“The way I see it. We forged the Pact of Beasts out of a common enemy, not out of some bond we shared with one another. I’ve never trusted your kind, nor has anyone else within my council. So, I think it’s for the best we stab you in the back, before you even get the chance to consider doing it to us. If you chose to continue to march against Myllenoris, then go for it, but you will be doing it without Theria’s aid.”

“From this day forth, Theria will no longer be a part of the Pact of Beasts.”

The Patriarch only had one thing to say in accordance with the events.
 

”It is with this pact of beast that comes to an end, that the friendship between Osrona and Theria can grow. With us backing off, we can focus on better, greener pastures that involve the growth of Theria and humanity. However, there is still one thing that I want; Revan.

Our battle will be one done in honor, and if you win, you live. You lose? Your life will be at the mercy of the Task family and those that deem fit. Your family is allowed back in, and the same can be said for the others who abandoned Theria because of the demons. If they come back, they will have to simply prove themselves to the Dragons and to Theria, or fail and be at the whims of the Task family as well. Should anyone who hunts the Dragons continue, they will face the full fury of Garljing and his sons, as they rain upon them with fire and ash.”

Warlord Hades, Head of Research, only had this to say.

"I told you ten years ago, Blaidd. Demonkind's job is to push the evolution of man forward. You've done that, and overstayed your welcome. Now return to Helheim."

With the announcement, the Demonic Troops would find themselves lacking Theria's support. Siege at your own caution.
