All's Too Quiet on the Homefront
#1
[Image: Alfheim.jpg]

Alfheim, of the meek and humble, the second largest realm in all of the spirit demesne after only Helheim, the place where non-magi, common folk souls go to experience a paradise of crops that did not spoil in the winter, harvest plentiful and available to share. Countless neighbors with stories from all eras to share at taverns, huts, and humble hovels that adorned the endless fields of the plane borded by the elemental ramp. The stern backbone of Terraheim held it steady, and Ifraheim's burning heat was tempered by the everfrost of Uraheim on the other side, ensuring the center was a fertile climate for life even after life.

Usually.

A simple journey to find a mana gem to complete his project becomes a grudge match that stretches seventy years, a confrontation with a monstrous titan of the void that is making whole villages....disappear. Some roads are best not traveled, but then, who but fools are meant to take them.
