The underground of Esshar is comprised of many groups vying for power and authority. Clawing and scraping they’re way to the top only to be toppled down by the stronger gangs with more numbers or better strengths. Often times these battles for supremacy are done far away from the eyes of the Kingdoms deep in the shadows.
Having positioned himself as an Enforcer of the Twilight coven under the guise Acedia, they lead a raiding party of his Siblings in order to show the full might of the Coven and destroy the gathering forces of the Alliance of Thieves. A well-known group said to operate out of every major city.
By taking the head of the Alliance of Thieves Boss, Acedia intends to set himself up as their leader, and force them into servitude of the Twilight Coven. The first of many raids to grow the influence of the Coven far and wide.
