Return of Ilburg's Lost Son

Once known as the Marauder of Ilburg, the King of Alabastre makes the return to his people in full at last- what would be considered the lost son to some, he returns with bold proclamation and the display of his deeds - the evidence found in the changes across Esshar, as well as those pertaining to his physical form. During such announcement made, Basil wears the arm-ring of High Lord Shar, the last High Lord during independence of the Rhoynur; adorned with the ornaments and brilliance unmatched by any other arm-ring, clearly of age old, along with the tapestry woven into looks that match the High Lord of the past.

"Ilburg has suffered enough. The promise of our kind no longer scrapping by within the walls of Osrona was trampled upon by Basten's false promises of 'stalemate' - and where he threw away his life in defense of city that kept our kind oppressed for almost a hundred years, I worked to free them from indentured service and slavery, I worked to restore the lost relics of the true Rhoynish culture, and I ensured Ilburg's safety and prosperity on every turn, even as he tried to botch every single action I've done for our people."

As per Rhoynish tradition, another Rhoynish may contest Basil in the claim to becoming High Lord. As per tradition, however, this is a deadly duel that ultimately ends with the death of defeated. It appears that the king of Alabastre is already on the move, with many recognizing his claim as the new High Lord of the Rhoynish, both outside and inside.

Would it mark the beginning of the new era for the Rhoynur?

The first challenger has made his claim apparent, with his adoption into the Forger clan and the passing of Basten, Dornar currently sits as the head of the Forger clan. Rhoynish by blood, he was not. However a claim for the title? He definitely had one. Whispers from certain sections of the populace of Ilburg, referred to him as the people's champion. Although, one would assume that this was notably his bandits spreading such words.

"This hand holding, has gone on far too much. You call it politics, you call it whatever you like. I've had enough of it."

"I cannot stand by, and watch someone who has only ever helped this settlement when it has benefitted him; in the form of payment from Basten, to rewards from our plunders. This boy-- No, you are no longer a boy now. This man, abandoned his people. His homeland, to go and begin his own endeavour. To craft out his own path and way of life, to think he can simply walk back into this settlement. To take the mantle, a mantle which he himself has not truly wanted to see thrive is not the way."

"His point about Basten's claiming his clan, I also believe Basten was wrong in doing this. However, I cannot stand for someone bad mouthing the man who sole paid the way for Ilburg to become the Kingdom it is today. Who was also responsible for Basil ever even helping the settlement in times of war as is. This pretender is not someone who I can see taking the mantle of High Lord of Ilburg."

With that, Dornar's intentions were made. Perhaps his speech, would lead to more people piping up about the change in leadership.
