Notyel's drawings
#1
I draw occasionally. When the fancy strikes me, really. And because I have been drawing a lot more Esshar lately, I figured I would make a post where I can put them publicly.  Feel free to browse.

Right now I do not take commissions or requests. Might in the future, if I ever feel more confident in my art. I will make a post when I do.
Like Ryou's doodles (my inspiration for this thread), I just do it for fun, or because the mood strikes me.

I guess I also can use this as something of a journal. I tend not to speak publicly much.

I've been doing a lot more drawing lately, but haven't been putting it on this thread because it's not Esshar related. I'm setting up a Dnd campaign and have mainly been drawing characters for that. I think I like drawing for it as much as I like miniatures. Being able to picture something in ones head is better with the more one can see it.
Maybe I'll put those on this thread sometimes. If people say they're interested.

I don't always draw Esshar characters and a few friends of mine are encouraging me to post more of my drawings that are somewhat unrelated. I do not know if they will be as popular as my other drawings, but maybe they'll catch an interest.
I don't remember the exact time I got into Dnd. I think I was in high school freshman year, however. I started out buying books for forth edition, but funnily enough, it wasn't until I got fifth edition books that I really started playing. I haven't really tried any of the existing settings, they all look interesting but I haven't really found a dungeon master running one. I did find a dungeon master in college however, and I have to say, I enjoy Dnd.

So much so that I became a Dm and started to create characters myself.

I really admire digital art.

Often times, when I draw, I notice little marks left behind on my art, and it often makes me feel a bit insecure. But the same can be said of all things. There are likely little imperfections in everything, and life is kind of just learning to accept those imperfections, whether it be in your drawings, your roleplay, your day to day life, or just in yourself. If a problem can be identified, it can be fixed with enough work.

Still wish I could color my drawings though.

I think, one of the biggest, most fun things about roleplaying games is the ability to make an impact, both an ic impact on the events of the game, but also an ooc impact. You make friends, especially with people you would not have otherwise gotten to know. And, where in a game with a single dm or plot, you might be able to predict it, in a game like Eternia, it isn't really possible to predict every little thing. There will always be something that surprises you.

Anyways, this is late, but I really enjoyed rping with Siegfried and Marie. They were both fun characters, and I wish I had more scenes with them while I had the time.

I'm sort of excited about this whole religious schism rp.

For the most part, I've actually pretty much avoided 'gods' rp in the Eternia series, I think. None of my characters in E1 hailed them. In E2, Xomac hailed 'the spirits' (with no names), Ikkaku served the Emperor but that was less religion, more government, Reveler served spirits, and Sors started out as an Azraelite but then went mad, and became an Agnostic that stole power from the void. Aka, for all of these characters, religion was sort of an after thought.

It's really fun to have a character where Religion is their name focus instead of fighting. Figuring out what they believe in, what they think is too zealous, or just if they believe that the Angels are right. It is new for me. Definitely a first.

I love that they each have their supporters, and detractors, and I feel like this is what they would be called.
