"Land of the Rhoynur, Land of the Free."

Overall View
Quote:As a recently new addition to the island of Esshar, the current instability in both politics and nature of coming to fruition. Have left the once small settlement of illburg to prosper by the hands of few, but the courage of many. Brought fortitude by only the harsh environment the settlement finds itself buried in.

The desert acts now as comfort for what some may consider a den of thieves and bandits. Home to the Rhoynur, warriors, children of Njorun, who further seek to enlighten themselves while escaping the confines of brick walls or large cities. And while the settlement maintains its hierarchy in the shape of united clans. A tribe.

Each piece, each person, move with a separate identity to which all converge on the path of growth for the city. All walks of life have come to understand a simple fact in the free-state of illburg.

Nothing comes free in life, so we ask not how you got your coin. But to where and who you're giving it too afterwards.

United Tribe/Clan focused
Quote:Without a formal army, the kingdom of illburg relies on guerrilla warfare when it comes to dealing with its foes. Taking advantage of their capable warriors, coins to hire. Sending out small, but elite squads to route enemy factions. Drawing their eerie until forced to confront the issue in person.

After-all, one could only expect the Rhoynur to band together as one. Bandits... Thieves? They stick their neck-out only once there's no choice left.

The United Tribe, built from a collective of smaller clans. Is what allows illburg to do more than just function, but prosper. While it isn't uncommon to see an individual take on multiple roles, even the average civilian is expected to join a clan and take on their name. Providing assistance however they can. Robbery, Runner, Sage, Economist, Leader.

Still in the early developments. Each soul must lift more than themselves in these trying times. They must life those around them to greater heights.

Provided are the major clans that stake claim to having provided the most growth to illburgs current and rapid expansion. Although welcoming to others, none can simply arrive unknowingly. There is a process to it all, so allow these description below be an insight to inner workings of Illburg.

Ilian
https://chronicles-of-esshar.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2646

Quote:The Ilian clan follows Njorun The Undying and his teachings. They see confrontation, disagreements, and conflict as a battle of its own. The first thing that is taught to an Ilian child is that every battle is born with a loser. Defeat is not seen as shameful on a general level, but is instead meant to teach the defeated about their own weaknesses, and to learn from them. They rejoice in battle and surrendering is seen as dishonorable, no matter the person's personal honor code. Njorun's words are spread vast and wide, but at the core of them all stands an important teaching and one of the three major teachings that the primordial wishes for his people to follow. This is Njorun's one law of war:

"If I live, I will kill you. If I die, you are forgiven. For that, is the rule of honor."

Serving as the guiding light to Njorun's way, the Ilian cater to those of Rhoynur blood or knowledge seekers. Passing on the rooted traditions of the Rhoynish for future generations to up-hold. Those who seek to be called. Lorekeeper, sage, priest or priestess. Would like to bind themselves to the Ilian clan. Although, it's not uncommon for despite such a clerical role to be had. That they are still warriors none-the-less.

Forgers
https://chronicles-of-esshar.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=2641

Quote:The original date to the birth of the forgers clan still varies to this day. With some of the current lorekeeper's daring to say that they'd lasted since the great Rhoynish dynasty, prior to the downfall by the hands of the Empire. While others speak of its collection no less than several years before the Invasion of the Tribelands. However, some stories of the past speak on its origins coming during the arrival of the Rhoynish onto Eternia. Gifted by divinity to last in every harsh environment the world had to offer. A collective group of Rhoynish brought to its people.

Progression.

Crafting.

With only hands and mind, do these Rhoynur work towards achieving the impossible. As born warriors, sculpted for war, the time of progress had fell upon this clan with the weight of all its people driving them forward. Blessed by Njorun, the Forgers Clan purpose is to push the boundaries of man, to take the leaps no others are willing to. And yet? A crafter can only do so much alone.
The role of Worker and Champion are highly sought after in this clan. Seeking both abled mind and bodies.

All of which require an overarching goal, a desire that goes beyond simply wanting to protect or be strong.

To be a forger? One must be willing to not walk a path, but to pave it on hands and knees.

Call to all Rhoynur
Quote:"For too long have our people been separated. Divided by nations who look to take advantage of our strength. The Rhoynur's ability to fight in wars, to defeat their enemies and return with the acclaimed victory entitled to them. By our lord, Njorun. On an island that only seeks further warfare, it's now up to ilburg to work towards the betterment of the Rhoynur, of those who seek freedom from oppression.

With the crumbling wall of Osrona, to abide by our Lore. By the legacy Natasa left us behind.

What the woman could not have done, has now taken life.

No longer are we shackled by Osrona, No longer should we fear the likes of Enslavement, No longer should we become a shield for another that isn't of Rhoynur blood!

I don't require a long winded speech for you to realize. Ilburg is home to the Rhoynish. And a calling is sent out to all.

Return home by choice... Or find yourself forced, by another of Rhoynur blood whose purpose is greater than your own.

Some of you are still lost, still trapped in the on-going politics of this island. And so? To liberate you all from the stress, from the strain of watching friends and family all die surrounding you. Ilburg now steps forward. A challenge, no... A declaration. We're a free nation and what laws are spoken of outside the desert? Are of no pay to anyone living in the sand dunes.

So worry not of ourselves, but for those who seek heights that which blind the likes of normal men and woman.

Laws
Quote:"There ain't many laws or rules in a free nation... But we still have to lay the foundation down. So ya'll don't wild out."

- NO WITCHCRAFT!

"Ya bring that shit into this town? We'll kill ya on the spot. Don't try us..."

- Occultism is handled on a case by case situation.

"It is believed that both Holy and Darkness abide by familiar rules. As such? A man who bask in the light for too long can surely be blinded by zealous thoughts. Just as much as a man lost in the darkness can only see just that going forward."

- No bounty hunting inside Ilburg.

"If ya got a problem with someone who comes to our city? You challenge them, alone. Or? You find them in the wild. Ilburg accepts all and to remove one? Would mean to remove us all."

Respect the hierarchy

"Nobody here cares for what laws and rules your nation follows. In ilburg? You'll abide by what's spoken from those with Authority. If not? Get the fuck out."
High Lord > Reaver > Marauder > Grifter > Civilian

- Common Sense

"What more needs to be said? Talk shit, get hit. Bring drama, carry a trauma."

"Strength is life, for the strong have the right to rule.

Honor is life, for with no honor one may as well be dead.

Loyalty is life, for without one's clan one has no purpose.

Death is life, one should die as they have lived."

A once proud clan of warriors brought together by the minds of many, but the soul of one.

Cayden.

Originally purposed to serve as, but another extension to the city of Ilburg, now has been adopted into the Forgers Clan. Taking their achievements of war and battle accrued over the years to new heights. As all Kalvore's have come to be respected in Ilburg, the clan now focus's on providing the settlement with an informal militia. Toughening the minds of those willing to serve amidst the united tribe.
-
Strengthening the will of those who find no purpose, those who find no need to press on in times of stress.
-
It is said their clan symbol stands for the unity they seek to protect. Like the petals of a flower, the bodies remain standing like a wall surrounding the kingdom.

If you wish to join a pseudo military, one more... Into guerrilla warfare than formally strung together like other nations. Than the Kalvore clan is your best opportunity. To be further supplied with information you can contact either.
