Rework/Buff Spirit
#1
Either the UI is lying or this is the worst stat that has ever graced any of these 3 games.

Right now, effectively, Spirit is Willpower. What Willpower is, for those who may not know, is simply MC/2.

We know that this is the case as /delements refers to the value of MC being half of your Spirit!

This means, also, that you cannot effectively put points into Spirit until very high rpl--and there is very little return on it.

In Spires, MC was not competitive much with AGI when they were 1:1 for points. Now that Spirit is, effectively, 1 stat point for .5 MC there is no 'builds' anymore.

The 'only' option is to max VIT, max POW, and then throw the rest into AGI.

Please adjust Spirit to make it a real stat.

I think you're forgetting spirit is also 1:1 your maximum mana.

I'm not forgetting, I just don't see that as being a particularly strong positive worth mentioning.

So, I hate to buff and old topic but as people start to be able to put points into this horrific stat I need to bump this topic again.

What does One Point of Spirit Do?

+.025% Damage Reduction
+1 Mana
-.025% Debuff Duration

Spirit does, however, get better once you have 160 points in it! It shifts from .025% Damage Reduction to .065% Damage Reduction!

Let's compare 100 points in Agility (100-200) to 100 points in Spirit (100-200).

100 Spirit:
6.5% Damage Reduction
-2.5% Debuff Duration
100 Mana

100 Agility:

30% Critical Hit Rate
15% Cooldown Reduction

Please. Please rework spirit before some pour soul actually puts a point into this stat.

The inherent problem is that Magic Capacity, which is Spirit *2, is barely competitive with agility on it's own. Every single statline is going to be the same unless this stat is improved.

Every single statline will cap out at 200 / 200 / 150 / 150~ (where spirit naturally caps).

If everyone is the same, why have stats at all? Why not base every system off of RPL with mods on equipment?

Another issue is that you can't 'just' buff it as everyone has 150~ by doing nothing.

That means there's a total of 50~ leeway points, and if that's too good people will flock to that then do agi!

I suggest:

Reverting Spirit to MC
Buffing MC.

I've been meaning to get to this and will be making changes today. I'm thinking:

100 Spirit:
- 10% Damage Reduction
- 10% Debuff Duration
+ 100 Mana

100 Agility:
+ 30% Critical Hit Rate
+ 15% Cooldown Reduction
+ Pursue / Flee

100 agi already give that, since one point is 0.30 crit boost and 0.15 cool reduction na?

ain't good in maths but 0.30 x 100 = 30%

yaiaieanalaka

unless it's addtional?

Agility's numbers aren't being adjusted, but I included them as a comparison.

Your MAGIC CAPACITY (82) decreases incoming damage by [4.24%]

Your MAGIC CAPACITY (82.5) decreases incoming damage by [4.3%]

With 100% MC = 200 Spirit, and 200 Spirit supposedly = 10% DR, the .06 gain of MC per spirit is far too low.

With the current formula, .06 spirit gain at 150+ will lead to a total DR at 200 of  6.4% DR.

That output just needs to be updated is all, it's manually set rather than automatic.
#10
Ah, cheers then.

On that note, and this is not really this topic's concern but: Is it possible for static DR from mcap to be displayed on the charsheet without /delements?
