When it comes down to buying the Eggs from the pet store there should be some kind of instinctive to buy them for specific needs like in Eternia 1 we had the Wisp egg and it gave Mana regen. Each pet should have a special effect to give for more unique RP. ( | ) Means or
Rabbit Egg- While out, you gain a Agility Buff
Boar Egg- Small chance to stun (Ramming)
Wolf Egg- Attacks with you
Pig Egg- Randomly gives energy to player
Parrot Egg- Has a small chance to 'copy' a spell (not melees) that a foe uses
Wisp Egg- Mana Regen/ Cleanse
Crow Egg- DoT on enemies
(White) Cat- Heals every so often | Gives DR buff
(Black) Cat- Applies Curse every so often | Gives DR Nerf

The wisp currently has a very small heal it uses on you, but pets dissapear during RPB so it's hardly ever noticed

While I do think pets are mostly novel and expensive for a reason, (Its a showing of wealth to be able to go lol look I have a parrot).
I do maybe just wish we could summon more than one at a time? Maybe like... Two or three... I just kinda want a few wisps following me around for the aesthetic.
Yes I am willing to splung 30k on that.
MAYBE: An "Out of combat" effect could be something fun? Certain pets make you move a bit faster or maybe harvest more wood/ore. Or idk the wisp COULD work like navi where it glows a bit when you're near some sort of item spawn.

Sounds like an absolute nightmare to balance. If implemented as is, there would literally be no reason to use any of them except for the pig out of combat and the wisp(if it cleansed) in combat. Keeping them as 'expensive' cosmetics is probably for the best, no need for weird third party creatures to provide a buff just for coins.

Alright, though an Out of Combat idea would be just as good, but only 3 I can really see having an effect like the Pig to find Alchemical Items, but we have Alchemist Eyes for that. A Wolf can help fight NPCs, and the pig for energy every once and a while.
