synopsis:
A recent loss has made Wren bitter. He checks his tools, notes the news, feels the urge to fulfill his role in earnest; and all he’s read of history has him thinking a witch is better suited for brambles and poison, rather than pretty, sparkling gems.
Nighttime creatures have whispered of an isolated forest glade where the sun’s rays are weak, and the shadows clutch thick--where a witch once fought against the light. The outcome of the battle is unknown, but the place is apparently filled with all sorts of wicked flora that sprouted from her shed blood. Most important among them, an herb that could clear his circuitry of its crystal irritant. However, the entire thing is guarded by a dark force that wraps unaware travelers in miasmic riddles, if not outright slices them to bits with thorns--as well as other lingering spirits.
Being young and far too hopeful, Wren wants to venture into the glade for the herb--and perhaps commune with whatever lurks there. He's hardly a holy creature. They might be of the same stuff, y'know? Probably? not

tone: Spooky-whimsical. Dark fairytale-ish. ~Mysterious~. Leafy.
risks: Up to the DM. I’d prefer no perms, though...and if he does get a perm please make it cute...
rewards: Crystal opener refund + general character & nature development. Alchemist fluff, for fun?
