In the depths of the mountains' mines, something vile opens its eyes.

It began with bodies of crellus, grubworms, and even lesser demons being found half eaten within the tunnels, but reports to both Theria and Osrona have suggested even human miners are no longer safe within the depths.

Multiple explorers have gone missing, and those who return have spoken of a gluttonous thing that resides in the darkest reaches of those tunnels.

With the drums of war in the air and the political violence that foretold its coming, it was no wonder that the Teraphims' warnings have become truth.

The mines were filled with screams.

As if to announce its continued and growing presence, the nightmare that dwells within the depths of the spiraling caverns beneath Theria found itself pit against half a dozen souls that dared venture into its domain.

Fight after fight, the shadow defeated the magi that approached until a notable opponent landed a decisive blow across its mask, cracking the porcelain there.

Though the spirit was forced into retreat, it was not completely put down, marking down the days until its next encounter...

Waiting for when it would feast again.
