Battlechads arguing that their enemy's current build is overpowered and their own build is underpowered?
That's Eternia for you. If HaTeD was in the opposite position he'd probably be the one complaining and/or making threads. Or, no, I'm probably getting this mixed up- if HaTeD was in that position, he'd probably rebirth and abandon Weiss just so he would have a build that's better for killing and strongarming other characters. It turns out that in a game where the focus is not solely on the combat but on the world and the story too, the combat isn't too refined and so some things will be more powerful than others.
However, when you have certain people who are always looking for a leg up on others -constantly- sparring and killing, thus -constantly- testing and poking at the combat system, it will eventually break and something will be found to be 'better' than everything else.
Then, with automated checks and the Dangerous rewards, it's easier than ever for these people to become extremely powerful in a short amount of time without even having the story to back up their strength. This allows them to develop their build even further and thus break the combat system even more while killing anyone who becomes a threat to them.
On topic, Crystal has always seemed very powerful, but no one has actually bothered using it. It also just plain didn't work in Spires (a lot of the time) and so it's unsurprising that its true strength has been found when a race that's literally built around using Crystal shows up.
