All across Esshar- within every city, every village- every tavern and every inn; men and women in darkened cloaks and black leather tricornes- faces obscured by shaded clothes- are witnessed hanging simple oak boards. Attempts to take these boards down are left fruitless, as within hours a new one is posted elsewhere within the area as the previous one. The only thing adorning these boards is four simple words...
The Essharan Hunting Society
Other than these four words, each and every board remains empty, no information as to their purpose is given. Eyes vigilant for the first days after their postings- yet, for weeks after, nothing new arises from this apparent Society. Interest quickly wanes, and the Society is left as an amusing tale spoken of in jest- some of the boards even used for games such as darts. How mysterious, for them to appear, then seem to vanish...

A month after the initial posting of the boards, a missive is placed upon them all- each and every one. Should it be removed, a replacement swiftly finds its place. Yet further information is found swiftly lacking- despite this, it is clear that whatever this Society is, those attracted to the thrill of the hunt, or the wealth of coin should remain attentive. Who is to know when one of these 'hunts' will be announced?

It is only a week after the announcement of the hunt, it is declared over- the posting removed in a flurry that had not been expected to occur for months yet. Curious.

Months follow afore anything new is heard of the Society- yet, with similar suddenness as afore, no forewarning given- a new hunt is posted. A hunt those within Ilburg may recognize of rumours, or have seen themselves. It would seem bounties are only posted after these monsters have been encountered...

After having observed several of the hunted within the field, the Society warns hunters that following any engagement with a hunt, it is exceedingly likely a hunt flees elsewhere. In these situations, the Society reminds hunters of a well-known proverb: The first to come are the first to be served.

Months have passed since the hunt on the Sand Golem was announced- and though those posters had remained untouched for all such time, in a suddenness likely coming to be associated with the Society, each and all of them are removed. It appears someone has felled the hunted...

The Society's silence is broke yet again, with- as to be expected by now- the posting of a new hunt, that may have been whispered of within Messaris.

In the night, a new hunt is posted- yet one of a new variety. As opposed to the usual hunts, where multiple hunters are required, this one lists only one hunter as the recommended party size...

It appears, as the Society gets settled, that it's hearing tales of further and further hunts- as only a month following the previous, two hunts are announced.

( OOCly, please don't ganksquad these monsters and chainverb them to death. It's supposed to be a fun thing for everyone involved, and the monster getting chainverbed to death both likely isn't going to have fun, or try to be a monster in the future. Have fun, everyone. <3 )
