While rattling off magical beast trivia Jase stumbles upon an odd mystery, no one has ever studied the rainbow fish of Meranthe or why their scales shimmer with impossible colors. Curious, he proposes a theory: What if the rainbow fishes are being affected by some magical beast's power, or even the ore Prismithium that was blessed by Mestra?

Driven by wonder and maybe his non-healthy obsession for magical beasts, Jase recruits his friends and sets off on a daring underwater expedition. Equipped with experimental diving suits built by his genious father they plunge into the unknown, following scattered sightings and clues to the rainbow fish’s origin in hopes of finding where they come from and what the rainbow fish eats.

Cut to glowing scales underwater, mysterious ruins, and chaotic group chatter.

"What exactly is the rainbow fish?"
"Are they magical? Divine? Delicious?"
"Or am I just a little bit... unhinged?"

Quick flash of Jase slapping a dusty old book labeled: “Definitely Real Magical Beasts Vol. I”

"This is all absolutely real. I got the book from a totally trustworthy masked merchant."

Music swells. The friends dive beneath glowing water. Shapes move in the dark.

"Equipped with nothing but courage, sarcasm, and highly questionable gear that his father made in his free time..."
"...Jase and his friends will plunge into the deep"

Whispers echo: "Fish. Fish. Fish”

"Will they find something?"
"Will they survive?"
"Will Jase finally shut up about that dumb fish?"

"...Yeah, probably not."
