2177AC
Summer, Month of Leo

The final push against a long-awaited target, of Humanity's latest Grand Crusade was in sight.
The Stronghold-City on the edge of the Shadowlands, the Heart of the Republic, in turn was beating to the rhythm it knew best on the eve of war, the drum of efficiency and an army on the march as ships were fitted and stocked with supplies, for its valiant Guard to deploy.
For when the Republic marched to war, it marched together.

And still, something else stirred deep behind the City's Walls.
More than the echoing beat and thrum of the Catacombs and their grand Golem-Manned Forges.
More than the tolling of the Tribunal Church's Bells and the Prayers of the Masses to sanctify weaponry and armor.
And more than the drills, parade training and exercises ran by the Guard and its Death Knight Auxiliary Order.

As within the Vigil's central Keep and Castle, the banquet hall had become center focus for its staff.
Smaller tables moved out, to make way for larger ones to come in.
Silverware, lined up with plating ahead of time.
Uniforms, ironed and folded to be reserved for a specific date.
Halls and rooms, cleaned to their very best with the upmost efficiency.
Plants tended to, amongst garden both indoor and outdoor, and the grand waterworks kept running as cleanly as possible.
Shipments of food, plenty of imports from the Peninsula and beyond, delivered to the kitchen for both the mess hall's own dining and a special date.

A banquet - A dinner, held with the privacy of an announcement from the Office of the High Chancellor, and to be hosted as Summer ends and Autumn nears.

Quote:
"The Republic has stood nearly fifty years, since its original declaration by the true genius behind its dream, Lirael Samaras Equisol.
And I have stood as caretaker, steward and figurehead in maintaining its stability for most of those years, as Senator and High Chancellor.

Fifty years, of improving the lives of those under our care.
Fifty years, of advancement, in technology and magic both without sacrificing morality.
Fifty years, of continued stability and peace, as best as possible in these times of hardship.
Most of those years were spent surviving the Atrellyan Extinction Campaign, and still, despite grand sacrifices we held.

And after all of this time, we continue on.
Pushing against the same forces again and again, even if they change name and faces, for a greater good.
Let us celebrate these fifty years not in a grand ball or some ostentatious party, but in the most meaningful of ways.

Amongst friends and family.

Take this day to honor all those, past, present and future and to enjoy all that we have achieved and built, by sitting down with your loved ones, and enjoying the day.
Feast.
Live.
Celebrate
And thank eachother, family, kin and neighbours.

The Order will be hosting an afternoon parade across the streets of The Vigil, in honor of a hundred years of continued service, since its original reformation, to send off our valiant volunteers before they ship out.
The Tribunal's main hall shall remain open the whole day to host every ward and orphan graduated from its academy, as well as those wishing to spend time amongst their Fellows of The Faith, as family on this Half-Century celebration.

And I?
I will follow my own words.
As I invite family, of blood and covenant alike, to join me for a very special dinner to be had together.
With many a special invitation to be sent out in time.

This will likely be my last announcement, for the foreseeable future, as High Chancellor of our Most Serene and Prosperous Republic of Paritas.
As matters of The Senate's administration and security, as well as oversight to the Seat of the Vice and  High Chancellors both, fall unto the purview our Most Benevolent and Vigilant Tribunal for the Everyman.

The Republic Lives.
The Republic Stands.
The Republic Endures.
Glory and Honor to The Republic."

I have only now realized the day this was set to, and since most of those invited (and the more vital members for the event) would be unable to make it, rescheduling to the 5th of July instead, same time in theory.
Instead of being done on the eve of the official 50 years, it is now being done post-year change for the exact date.

(A big sorry for anyone that was ready to attend tomorrow/today, but this delayed date works better, especially with some unexpected tech issues coming up too.)
