Quote:
A wild, crimson flame of halo hair whipped around Vandals' youthful face as he surveyed his fleet from the raised dais, torn against the bright morning sun and the rough sea wind of the Nilhirrian dock. The assembled ranks of the Fortune Navy, freight captains, and each of their crew stood rigid beneath his sapphire gaze, and each chest a wall of polished steel, each uniform entirely immaculate, and each ramrod-straight back rippling from years of constant, hard shipping work.
-
Generations of seafaring tradition had forged them into paragons of discipline; decades of shipping, harvesting what the mainlanders and Kingdom of Fortune needed from the sea surrounding them giving each and every crewman the grit of stoicism any practiced soldier going to war would wield. Yet a tremor of apprehension bloomed in their eyes, born from those same countless battles against the ocean's fury.

This foray was to be no ordinary exercise, but a trial by fire, a baptism by the oceans icy waves, and a test of the young prince's worthiness as the next Sovreign of Fortune.
-
And the loyal men of Fortune, hardened by years of war against the bounties of the deep, would be the ones who paid the price if he failed.

Details:
Vandal Emeraldi, 15, has been given the greenlight for his Rite of Passage; however, his goal will test every nerve he has honed, every fiber he has trained, and every scrap of knowledge he has thus obtained!  This ship expedition will be the begining what has been dubbed as the beginning of...

“Fear Not the Deep” arc.

Here, we’re going to be dealing with a Leviathan, stirring up sea creatures, all so we can have events fishing up problematic magical beasts and otherwise. This little expedition would be a good way to push it off, and is just the beginning!
