To Aim For The Sky

Rumours begin to brew of preparations in the fortress-town of Aetius. Despite the poor outcome of the war with the Republic, the souls busying themselves within had not lost their determination to see plans laid carried to fruition. As such, large quantities of lumber, ores, and exploration supplies were being produced in, or imported to Mount Pavonis. At the head of this effort was Abigail Blythe, managing the logistics behind the preparations. It's no more than a few weeks later that the official word goes across Meranthe: An expedition is forming to ascend the Tower of Aetius again, this time with the hope of seeing the top.

An adventure to be seen done on the merit of mankind, without the blessings, or manipulation of the Gods.

And one that required capable souls to venture forth.

Quote:"I'm no good with words, so I'll leave this brief. Do you crave the thrill of adventure? Are you interested in seeing something no one else has for over a thousand years? Then join me, as I go up the tower. I don't care about the riches the tower offers-- I have no need for any of its secrets. All I care about is having the greatest adventure of a lifetime. I don't intend to stop until I'm either at the top, or I'm dead. And if you feel the same, stop by, and let's talk."
- Abigail Blythe

Those interested in joining the expeditions could find the engineer at the settlement on the south-west of Mount Pavonis.
There were but a few restrictions to the personel she wanted on board:

- Those without their souls, and entities of dark magic, and similar would be rejected without review.
- Likewise would those that approved of such things.
- Militants of the Republic would be turned away, though independent adventurers, and magi residents would be welcome to apply-- a promise of safe passage to them, as long as common courtesy was upheld.

The expeditions would begin in earnest within a few, short years, with any luck.
