Blade and Soul
#1

Meranthe's weakest swordsman moves about the realm, blade in hand, seeking those who follow the suffering that comes with the oath to the blade. The country is ripe with knowlege, and skill, things that allow one to grow so long as they live to tell the tell. The challenge is issued to all those who wish to fight further on this brutal and demoralizing road.
Are you one of us? One who walks with blade and soul.
Seek them out, seek me out, I await to see the splendor of your life's effort so that the history of the blade is never lost. I'm not difficult to find.

A challenge is issued to all those that arm themselves with the blade. To claim the title of sword saint, the hisotry of one's merit will be told through blood and strife.
[PM Mishra Canon for a dangerous battle! A test of will to those that walk the path of the blade.]

Defeated by Lowell Lobos, The Lone Wolf

There is grace in defeat, when one experesses the true nature of their will with everything they have. The road will be painted with blood, but that blood is given willingly. As the blade moves, as the body shifts faster and faster, skill out paces vigor and willpower every time. Ther sheer power behind Lowell's blows were...overwhelming. Weaving through the battle like a thread through cloth. A ghost, untouchable even at point blank...to think that a man like this existed in the world. There is much to be learned, but in this moment...Mishra will continue up the path, though he must lick his many wounds for the time being.

Defeated by Cerberus, Grim Virulence

What is the real nature of the undead? To cling to life to fight regardless of the former history that claimed them in the past? Could a being shrouded in depravity be able to express their own soul's will, even through the throes of corruption? In this case, it would seem that they can. Without malice blade and poison is swing in the air, the force of spritural and arcane energies clash against itand an expression of a purpose that managed to transcend death is heard. A difficult encounter indeed, one that the Mystic Blade was ready to meet in the end. With the knowledge gained from Nix's guidance, speed was what needed to overcome this foe...but in the end it was not enough.

Bone and virulence, blade and arcanel, the victor was Cerberus. But the Mystic Blade would continue to move on, regardless of the loss.
There was always a lesson to be learned, and with this one...he had to be faster, he had to strike harder, he had to be better.

Victory against Zuu Vawris, Shadow Knight

Shadow vs Astral, Umbral Vs Mystic
The blades clashed fiercely, the flow of the arcane and the wild power of the beast kin tore the battlefield apart. With each clash, the sparks hummed into the air as the will of their souls echoed through out the land. Speed, speed was what allowed the Mystic Blade to weave through the battle effortlessly...but each clash came at a cost. Blood spilled into the water, and with each exchanged he remembered the words of his current Master...Nix.

"To be remembered"

How would the Mystic Blade be remembered? His only wish, was to be the fastest, the most furious, an artisan of the blade, and that thought carried him to victory in this exchange.

Maybe The Mystic Blade wasn't the weakest after all.

Gideon Lancaster + Mishra Cannon Vs. Varrach, Insurgent God
Victory

What can be said of the burgeoning god? A force of change? A force of Destruction? Carrier of the Sword of DOOM, the will of a God is not one that can be easily understood, but their soul's language is one of force. The sheer might of death, explosion and fire was more than the young swordsmen could ever truly comprehend. In spite of this, they fought on, giving everything they could to communicate through the only way that could not be misconstrued, through war.

The language of war is one of urgency, of necessity. The expression of might and of furor comes from those willing to do what it took to impose their soul's will upon the land. While the war was one by Ad Contra Deus, this battle, between three beings, was won with unity.

Gideon Lancaster, The Lancaster's Greatest
May we meet again as allies of the sword my friend.
The Mystic Blade acknowledges your might.

And yours as well, Nascent God of Insurgence....
