An Audience (6PM EST tonight)
#1
The Court of Ilumitar requests your attendance at the Tower of Aetius. An invitation is sent to the mage guilds of the world and the kingdoms of Meranthe.

All are invited.
The subjects of note are,
The flawed design of Magic. Its corruption. Its flaws.

The slave population, the nonmagi. The millions of unseen, the weak, neglected peasantry that carry out the hard labour.

The puppeteers, those responsible at the head of the serpent, the pantheon and the devils you call gods, and their indoctrination of humanity, how they've dulled your inner flame in shallow worship.

...and the solutions, should you open your mind to the truth.

A number of unusual, pitch black cards have found their way across Meranthe. Plain save for the ourboros symbol on the back, and a runic sigil that will come to life with a place of meeting three days prior; a map appears in glyphs, easily decipherable by those gifted of mind.

Anyone that showed a willingness to embark on the arduous journey of a Sorcerer.
Known magi. Even witches.

(OOC - If your character wishes to pursue sorcery, or you're simply looking to sabotage! But no peanut gallery!!!)
Saturday - 5PM EST (tomorrow)

(Low priority attendance, ignore if you want to attend the raid/another event ofc)

(OOC) FAQ, since getting a lot of repeat DMs

1. How can I learn and study Sorcery ICly?
See the wiki page. This is information that's freely available as several nations now have a Court Sorcerer. You can also find a physical tome within the main chambers of the Aetius kingdom's castle.

2. Is Sorcery difficult to learn?
Yes. It's a highly advanced magical art that requires intermediate knowledge of rituals and a creative mind You're expected to take the basics as foundations and make it your own, have goals that are unique to your character... it's similar to artificer in many regards, as lines will cross and that it's entirely personal to your story.

3. Can I learn Sorcery without a mentor?
Yes and no. Attempting the rite alone is possible but will leave your character with heightened madness, but you can apply for it as you would any other class via the form. A good way to flavor the wait for a response is grappling with the overwhelming nature of the Endless and witnessing infinity; if there isn't a reply then you simply didn't manage to connect with it and might end up a wandering madman for a time.

Sorcerers are few and far between. Those that do advance in the art typically end up as advisors and court magicians within a kingdom, or a reclusive vagabond.
