What is a Hero?

What are the makings of a 'Hero?'

Strength?
Bravery?
Perseverance?

Is a Hero someone who is always there to protect the people who fight for righteousness?
Defending the people who cannot defend themselves?
Does a Hero ride into battle on their steed and overcome adversity at every turn?
Do they beat the odds at every turn? Hold respect and admiration from their people?

Whatever the makings of a Hero are,
I certainly do not have them.

Mothers were right, I'm just not ready to be who I have pretended to be.
The best thing I can do now, is control what I can control.
So if you need a Hero, don't look for me.
I'll be in my farm.

I spent a long time wondering about these qualities. Going back and forth on my ideals.
Without the strength of Legend, can even I still become a Hero?
Many have shared their sentiments when asked 'What defines a Hero?'

'A Hero protects his family.'
'A Hero heals the broken.'
'A Hero strikes first.'
'A Hero saves the day.'

I have come to learn that Heroes aren't always made on the battlefield, and aren't always of utmost capabilities.
They aren't always the strongest, smartest, fastest, bravest. Heroism is gauged by a differing meter.

"A hero is determined by how much they are willing to give to the World, whilst receiving nothing in return."

'So, how much are You willing to give?'
