Strings of Pain: The Cast of My Heart
#1

Living in the desert was lonely, but there comes a time when you, as a priest of the stars, begin to speak with the sky—to hear its gossip, to share your pains and your joys.

Jupiter thrived in solitude, just as loneliness nourished his soul with sorrows.
The rocky cliff concealed a small stellar oasis in the desert. Waterfalls ran with clear water- an indirect reflection of Nera’s footprint upon that space. The mist from the water rose like a curtain, separating that place from the rest of the world.
A place of so many memories.

There, he saw the faces of all the young men who had once been enchanted in Meranthe. The features shifted like a blur beside him, as he sat alone on that bench. The blur changed colors constantly, in contrast to his own aura—always radiant and sunlit.

Quote:
Blue was bitter, like biting a rock.
White was sweet, but it came with a shock.
Purple was intense, but it burned so quick.
Red was a fling, not a memory to miss.
-
Green could stay—
But he wasn't so sure
If all of that was real
If the feeling was pure,
If it was safe to reveal.
—How long could I endure?
-
To keep this inside,
Waiting like a corpse,
A motionless figure hides
Inside my very heart—
Together, yet apart.
-
Emptiness is a word full of things.
Full is as empty as my heart.
Help me, pain, to pull these strings—
As for now, I cast my art.
(Júpiter)
