Your father is a dedicated and diligent man with many talents and knowledge under his belt. Born in Izhura, Soma is a wayward member of the Kazana Clan, a prominent Drakanite family with roots in spiritualism; he travelled to Meranthe once he was of age. From there, he established himself as a Samurai of Xuefeng and a Priest of the Draconis Chromatica.

The only true constant throughout your childhood, thus far. In public, he was seen as an honorable and dutiful man, a traditional divine-loving Drakanite loyal to his people and nation alike. In private, the man embodied the image of a loving and doting father; an aspect of himself that persisted even after the death of your mother.

Heartbroken and changed as he was by that tragedy, he always did his best not to let it show too destructively. Instead, opting to keep his wife's legacy alive through spreading her stories and keeping his promise to raise you as she would. Tales of Hemera, Mestra and the Iridescent Light were a common occurrence throughout the latter half of your childhood--

Of course, he still imparted his beliefs. There was an excessive amount of talk about the Divine Dragons and Izhuran Heritage as befitting of Kazana's. Time with the paternal side of your family wouldn't be much different!

Your mother was one of the last remaining remnants of the Primordial of Creativity upon Meranthe and when Mestra lost Their life so did she. While she lived, your mother did her best to bring light to Meranthe and spread the tenets of the Voice of Spring: love to her fellow man, charity to promote prosperity and blessings for fortune.

Though your mother passed when you were still a child, you would remember her face well and all she did with you. For every birthday you were written a sonnet describing your traits and growth, every need she would have dutifully attended with a smile, and she would have loved teaching you all about the history of Meranthe and about the Primordial Mestra.

Though she is no longer with you, she has left behind some of her prized possessions for you to possibly inherit someday.  Each carries a story for your father to tell you.

⇝ You may choose to be a Felinae like your mother or a Drakanite like your father. One of each would be preferred, but to each their own.

⇝ You’ve spent your entire lives in a cottage on the border of Gloomlight. Hemera’s long-time home.

⇝ On a family front, while most of your mother’s side of the family is gone. Soma’s side was a notable presence in Drakonia and now Xuefeng. Plenty of Kazana’s and associated Drakanites that way for you to interact with and learn from.
