An aged old building, once standing tall within the city of Gloomlight as one of several hundred abodes, finds itself engulfed in the turbulence of Indras's march on Meranthe. As the last of the embers fade and all that is left is crumbled ruins, a Doctor rummages through the mess as two beating hearts are heard by her sensitive pulse of bloody mana.
Two children are pulled free. Synthetic blood is hooked up to drips, a weave of magic works to regenerate and rebuild what is crushed and bruised.
And months later...Paperwork is signed.
