Life and its Many Questions
#1
Life always finds a way,
I am proof of that, given my bloodline and arrival into these lands.
And yet, despite all my efforts to catch up with that which is known, I am still lacking.
Perhaps that is the point of life, in a way, to take the journey instead of having the answer given to you.
And so I took to that path, offering help where I could. After all, She was just as humble.
However, the first surprise hit me. People who look upon me differently then other mortals.

I cannot understand why. Some say its odd to be able to be able to walk with gods, and yet there are several roaming the lands.
Others think that the blessings I was granted make me more then mere mortals. Yet without them, I would not have anything.
One even calls me a Princess. Something I do not understand for I am neither royalty nor of a kingdoms family that would incur such a title.

Still, despite these setbacks, I now have a place to call home.
Fellow Kin and Faithful to turn to when questions I cannot answer come to my mind.
And as I read what records remain from periods before I came, of those who fought against odds and prevailed.
Of those who passed before their time, and of those slain before their work achieved.

I cannot feel anything but sorrow.
Perhaps not in the same as those of the lost, but for what Life could have been, should they have continued to live.
What the cities I had visited, both ruined and intact, might have become, should things have been different.

Perhaps in time, I will understand the same way She does.
After all, my journey has only just begun, and thus, the currents of Life still guide me along.
I just pray I do not have to make any hard choices before I am ready.
