fascinating facts regarding witchcraft
#1
Witchcraft is the manipulation of fragments of human essence.
The tiny, tiny fragments compose an infinitesmall amount of the human spirit,
and yet contain within them memories, feelings, and every other thing that makes a human, human.

A witch utilizes fragments of human memory to unlock the usage of the organ responsible for telepathy.
When they dreamwalk someone, they enhance the memories of a specific place in mind found in the human essence.
A witch implants feelings felt by the essence fragment on whatever person they wish to hex.

Manipulation of the essence is a fascinating art.
Gloomlight understood this, and decided to capitalize on it.
The disgusting little freaks are proud of it, and hell, I am too.

But why is it that they are allowed to practice the art
while I am not?

Each and every argument I hear against witchcraft is stupider than the last.

"By selling your soul, you're closing the cycle,
and killing thousands of future lives!"
And who cares about could've-beens, exactly?
..ah, maybe I do.

"You have a black spot in your soul,
which gets worse every time you use black magic!"
And what does it do? Why does it matter?
Should I be judged by the color of my soul, rather than my actions?

It's not my fault that every witch that came before me were poisoned by the Constant of Despair.
It's not my fault that each and every one of these fools do not realize that the manipulation of the essence
does not hurt, and that if it does, it hurts far less than the usage of fire magic or any other kind of magic.

And little old me somehow thought that the Goddess of Harmony, Aschea's inheritor, would be any different.
I should've pressed on the matter of my powers. I should've died on the hill that balancing the 'inherent evil' of witchcraft
and the good a heart can bring are Aschea's tenants, and that I am the epitome of balance.

Yet she would never listen, would she?
Were I a god, I wouldn't either.

The idea that I hold of balance differs entirely from what those of harmony preach.
And I vehemently believe that I am correct. I am correct. The history books will speak ill of me,
because history will be written by the usurpers; but I will rest easy on her great web because I know that I will die correct.

I can't close this by saying I wish my sisters never endure what I went through, because fuck yeah I do.
I would drop the bomb they used on Aegis on Atrellya had I the chance. They deserve what's coming for them after death.
So, I guess I'll end this by saying that Lady Koretheia was at least pretty nice. Meri, too. Sorry for causing you two trouble.
