Within the Traverse, a ritual is taking shape... Preparations continue, but a call goes out to those willing to donate resources to its completion.

Whatever ritual she is preparing, it is obvious that it is big. There's no doubt that Atrellya's invasion has forced her hand, making something that she has likely been preparing, slowly, need to happen...

In the wake of the ritual that Elizabeth Montelione performed within the Traverse, two curious phenomena begin to manifest across Meranthe. The forces of Atrellya become plagued with bad luck, whilst it takes months for the deeply personal effects of the ritual's greater intent to become well known.

Those who find themselves in the dark, contemplating selling their soul, become plagued with visions. They see the lives that they are giving up... The future fates of their other incarnations. The good, the bad... All of it. They are made to understand the weight of all they are sacrificing...

And the knowledge that it's not too late to turn back.






Pending a mechanical change to how the Book of Shadows works, in-game, feel free to RP receiving visions of a warning received when your character is about to sign a Book of Shadows... A last chance to turn away. The Ritual of Fate's true intent, as a last ditch effort to warn the unsuspecting of the cost of what they're doing, has been achieved.
