Stars of the Nightview Exploration Records of Astrology
#1
[Image: 1000_F_204585938_AmlSQvpveDNAe1cjIlNF6Sf3GLG1rg8s.jpg]
In the darkness lies the patron stars which push and pull on the strings of their souls down below-
.
Like the moon and the tides, these stars shift the tides of fate for their souls. Gently ebbing and flowing in the breeze of life upon star-spangled wings, through the platinum-tinted stardust as it glistens from the comets of life that pass by and offer such fleeting hopes and dreams.
.
Every soul belongs to a star- each star a home for that soul to return once the chapter of their existence ends. When a soul no longer is its own, a star dies; and when a star dies, a soul is extinguished. All lives and stars lie on the end of a mutually tied silver string of starlight that beams from above like sun rays in the twilight, each line reminding the soul of its home amongst the stars...
.
The duty of Nightview is to catalogue these stars and to record their place in the universe so those that are connected to the stars may find them, who their soul once belonged to, and may find peace in knowing that there is a place for them, after all. The spirits convene in the Spirit Realms, but the Soul will always find its place back home.
.
The following records have been catalogued by the leaders of Nightview, who preserve this tradition, under Gala, to acquaint the people with their stars. Under the notice of the Nightview Exploration Records of Astrology, such information is withheld and protected.
.
New additions to this information must be catalogued by an approved member of Nightview.

Star Name: Nera's Star (Now known as "Aren")
Class: White Dwarf (Contained)

Description of Star: Neras star ("Aren") is an astral exception, Being a celestial body
contained withing magi-tech of immense power, it exists all the same. Visually, it is
most similar to a white dwarf star, though its spectrum is tinted with pink light, much
like the Star-Bearers own visage. Perhaps due to some sort of connection with it, it is
tinted with her mana.

Notes: Warm, and exudes an aura of familiarity and comfort. Rune magic allows one
to enable the star to orbit the bearer of another connected artifact. Further study
suggested!

Discoverer: Nera
Confirmation: Nera, Caeles

Star Name: Uner
Class: Blue Star

Description of Star: Uner is a blue Star found within the head of the constellation
Leonaus. While most Stars stay in a reasonably stationary position as they travel
across the sky, Uner is different, it roams across the night sky within its brethren.
Followed by a trail, it is nicknamed 'The Comet' and it is also the smallest of all the
Stars within the constellation.

Notes: Known for its connections made to great artificers and craftsmen of the past,
it is said that Uner looks to guide those who wish to invent or to assist those that lack
such creative purpose.

Star Name: Bah
Class: Red Giant

Description of Star: Bah is a star located in the northern sky during the early summer.
A cold star, it is quite dim and one of the most difficult stars to see by the naked eye.
The connection to it feels of stubbornness, willingness to stand up to any foe, and a
strong determination. It is part of the constellation Drakon, and forms the tip of the
constellations right wing.

Notes: Bah was named by Star-Caller Caeles after his ward Bah, who he raised from
an infant, due to the energy offered by the star being so similar to the young mans
personality.

Star Name: Koin
Class: Blue Binary (In process of merging)

Description of Star: Koin, found in the Kismet constellation, is a brighter star, in the
center of a rhombus of four other stars that make up Kismet. Blue in color, Koin was
once two stars that have since merged, their cores not yet united, making the the
mass slightly oblong.

Notes: Known for a connection to those seeking their match, Koins connection offers
feelings of companionship, but also longing. Many look to the star for guidance in
finding their soul mate.

Discoverer: Nera
Confirmation: Caeles

Known Patrons: Nera (1998*-present);
*Due to Nera's head trauma, she cannot remember the exact year she was born.
Assuming her age along with the year would suggest her birth in 1998, but this is not
to be considered a hard truth.

Star Name: Áleifr
Class: K-type Dwarf

Description of Star: An orange star, located far off from any other stars or
constellations. The small stellar body that circles it is void of any planetary bodies,
but houses space debris to continuously fuel it.

Notes: Due to its distance from any star or galaxy, it can be easily missed; as such,
it rends feelings of solidarity to those that sympathize with it. Those that seek the
star and can sympathize with it find themselves more comprehensive of the dark
and what it entails- more specifically, how one can use the darkness to alter the
effects of light.

Description of Star: An otherwise unremarkable meteor categorized as 1181 Lilith and belonging to a drifting asteroid belt, there is a very subtle and quiet aura about this rock. Star Name: "Swansong"
Class: Fixed star

Description of Star: Along the broader reaches of space lies the modest system, 61 Cygni "Avenue", hosts a stretch of galaxy systems and this particular star, "Swansong", a closed binary signature that recurses ad infinitum self-referentially, rose-petal veils of secrets unborne. It's color is Sanguine, as Red Clay.

Notes:  "A sleepy morning way out in the boondocks, stories are being told on the red clay,
Every clay's where we came from to begin with, and where we're going when time comes for splitting;
Sands being dug on the red clay."

Star Name: "Betelgeuse"
Class: Red Supergiant - Runaway star

Description of Star: A runaway star is a star that is moving through space with an exceptionally high velocity, as relative to its surrounding interstellar medium. Intersections or collisions of stellar systems can accelerate celestial bodies to such degrees, as well as other cosmic phenomenon, including the acceleration of gravitational bodies or supernovae-fueled propulsion.

There is such a star, a Red Supergiant, located in the very far and distant nebula Ecbatana, esteemed for its ruddiness and visibility to the naked eye from the ninth month, Yiel, until the fourth, Syph. Its true color is Rubedo, and it gives answers to inauspicious questions or fortunes found to be true in their unfolding, when called upon by the secret name "Sosostris".

Notes: In consideration of the magnitude of force of this body, it is worth remarking that such a distant and tumultuous body is very dangerous to contact; any consequent scattering resultant from any concourse is likely to be very unpredictably unstable and dangerous, especially with variances in red-shift that lead to the potential characterization of a black star. It's temperament is capricious, opportunistic, and misleading.

Unabridged commentary for Betelgeuse:   The speculation of Betelgeuse as a black star, or a beacon of occultic nature, as granted and supplemented by the Umbral studies of Gloomlight Library.

If it is by the reflection of the stars in our hands, that palmistry and chiromancy is practiced, then it is by the palms of Athelios and Warden of Helheim, that the same astral potential might be wrought.

"...Faceless are made. In fact, they are primarily made..."

"...a Faceless is not that much more biologically different to a Human or a Beastkin."

"All Faceless are trained to maximize their ability to exist within the shadow of others..."

Betelgeuse complements the Scintillian ideal, as is clear in the runic construction of its proper and secret names. However, further studies are necessary to determine any true correspondences of occultic qualities.

Star Name: Augmenta

Class: K-Type

Description of Star: A golden yellow star, while its distance is undetermined as
of now, it is believed to be hotter than the Sun, given its coloration and
potential distance. It is observable near the northern horizon during the latter
part of Winter and the early part of Spring. Through concentrated efforts, it is
reported to bear a 'spiral halo of superheated matter, beyond the star's size',
though the star, itself, is not located near any celestial body as of yet.

Notes: "This star gave me a sense of change, yet also of certainty,
paradoxically enough. A veritably amazing thing to witness, yet also something
completely ordinary, alien yet familiar. Given the time in which it is observable,
I would estimate a connection to the idea of metamorphosis, profound,
revolutionary change. Me having found it just after the ascension of Indras
cannot be a coincidence."
