Removing the Rot [Fortune vs Deathwind Fleet]

Under the direct supervision of the Crown and a host of fresh Marines, the island Kingdom stirs in response to the growing threat of the Deathwind Fleet. After years of conflict and loss, the newly formed Royal Navy of Fortune hoists its sails in preparation for war.  The southern seas are busier, trading lanes interrupted by the flow of ships called to join the amassing fleet that sits between Nilhirra and Sapphire Bay.

Even with the looming threat of Atrellya, no quarter is given. It is not long before a fully formed blockade has stationed itself around the island of Korcula. Vessels bearing any affiliation with the Deathwind Fleet are reportedly sank without question. Others are seized and their goods taken to bolster supplies for the Atrellyan invasion. Behind it all is the Princess, Meri Emeraldi, addressing the Kingdom on behalf of the Crown.

"For too long have we suffered the grievances of these pirates. They have ransomed us for profit, taken away those dear to us, and continue to maim anyone who stands in their way. We will not sit idly by while they continue to slaughter our people and the attacks persist.

The Shigenobu clan stands with the Emeraldi's and The Kingdom of Fortune, though this was expected, it was a matter of when, not if. Long since, the clan had functioned as a vassal to the crown of Fortune, so there was no question of if they'd commit themselves, it was a matter of when. Albeit, the declaration of their intentions came far after the debacle had begun. Nonethelss, the clan had a vested interest in the territory of Korcula, their very presence in Fortune was because of what had been once promised. 

 Clansmen are seen rushing to prepare, gathering vital supplies and communicating information on behalf of the clan to others.
 

As the news has settled within the clan's forces, the Hime commands her clansmen to support the incoming operation against the Deathwind Fleet and their forces, to reclaim Korcula. A missive is delivered, to The Nightfall, to all allies and affiliates of the clan and it's members from the Heiress herself:

"To those who claim to be our allies, should you be a true friend and supporter of our kin, I call upon thee to assist us in reclaiming what was once this Kingdom's rightful domain.

Necromancers, undead. Deathwind claims this island to be it's own, a haven for necromancy and the dark arts. Even if it was not our rightful territory as Fortunians, we cannot allow this rot to persist. 

If you truly are a warrior against the Fel.

You will answer my call, and I will return to you that same favor when it is reclaimed. And I will not forget this deed you have done, for our clan. For our Kingdom."

A horde of Goblins and Beastkin begin to gather from the various corners of Meranthe donning the Red and Black insignia of the Nightfall Clan.
The monster hunters though no longer an official military of any city was still Monster Hunters at their core a battle that they have prepared themselves against for some time.
As they sailed across the sea, the Warchief stood proudly at the helm as he spoke to his various men and women.

"Once again we gather for a great battle against the necromatic threat that plagues the seas of the continent. Our many battles, many hunts are embedded into that of the stories of Meranthe but is still not done. We stand beside our allies now, and remove the plague that has infested itself on the islands. To remove such a threat from these lands forever. Is might be the last time that stands before all, the last time Nomul is lead this war band into war, but know that is been a great service to work beside each and every one of the clan.

Prospera Answers the Call of their Allies!!

After receiving word from their Sea Scout Units of the blockade surrounding their island, the First Mate of the Deathwind Fleet hastily rallies the pirate crew alongside Captain Vyldrax. The crew of undead pirates assemble, preparations made to defend the beloved island and tower they wished to protect.  A skeletal army is gathered once more, the Deathwind Fleet ready to maintain and hold a claim of what was theirs.


Atop the tower built by the Deathwind Fleet, a figure is seen standing and waving around some kind of device into the air within their grasp. Upon closer inspection through a spyglass, it was the First Mate Manasseh himself! A transceiver on Fortune's old frequency held in one of his rotten hands...

"Come t' piss us off before yer' last dyin' gasp at the hands of Atrellya, eh!?

Go on then, give it yer' best shot! We will be waitin' and at th' ready!

Know that The Deathwind Fleet don't plan on ransom this time around, yer' all good as sharkbait!

It had barely been a few months by the time a support detachment of The Order´s Militant Wing made its trip back home, from its Unexpected Return to The Northern Reaches, before a new request reached the desk of the Knight-Commander, and thus The Wings received their new assignment orders, with only the returning wounded acquiring any sort of guaranteed rest.

A small Cohort of the Militant Wing, to be dispatched as an auxiliary force to that of the Protectorate´s Navy, a minor expeditionary detachment purely for support, as the main bulk of The Guard focus upon their patrols and preparations for the oncoming Atrellyan invasion.

OBJECTIVE: Support the Kingdom of Fortune´s assault.
