Hoist the Colors [Fortune Reform]
#1
From Fortune's Royal Quarters

Years pass, the Kingdom of Fortune grows and ebbs like the water around. The very administration and military of the island kingdom is changing, with delegation and new roles being assigned. It's a time of reward and reform, affecting a great amount of citizens and military alike.

I. MILITARY REFORM

Yet another military reform takes place in the Kingdom of Fortune, prompted by the First Seneschal Meri Emeraldi, in the absence of now former Admiral Camilia Ediernon.

The dissolution of the Maritime Knights orders takes place, the former rank given now being completely titular to make way for unity in the Royal Navy.

NEW EQUIPMENT

Once again clad in the golden Fortune Alloy, Fortune's marines have an effective and stylish protection at their disposal. The new pieces of this armor make up for all the shortcomings of the previous one, and are fitted well for any military endeavor at sea.

NEW RANK STRUCTURE

1. Cadet - The lowest rank of the Royal Navy and one mostly suited for young and aspiring sailors or those still becoming acclimated. It is a trial phase before becoming a full-fledged member of the Navy. Responsibilities of a Cadet may be miniscule and primarily focused around training and learning how to use their equipment. Cadets are not permitted to fight on the battlefield and the minimum age to join has been lowered to thirteen in order to provide ample training if one wishes.

2. Marine - Marines are the backbone of the Royal Navy and serve as the Kingdom's primary military force. It is the standard rank that most soldiers will fall into. Disciplined and loyal, their duty is to defend the Kingdom and act as enforcers of the laws set by the Crown.

3. Captain - A Captain of the Navy is tasked with watching over the Cadets and Marines. Not only are they given the responsibility of overseeing their peers, but also have a duty to act as a quartermaster.

4. Vice Admiral - Second in Command. In the absence of the Admiral, they may make decisions on their behalf and often work with the Admiral on the decisions that effect the Navy and Kingdom as a whole.

5. Admiral - The figurehead of the Navy, a leader, and an advisor on military matters directly to the Crown.

II. ADMINISTRATIVE REFORM

As delegation was necessitated, new roles in the kingdom's government have opened, with the king and queen overseeing them directly.

-Ambassador-
Answering directly to the king and queen, the ambassador is set to handle foreign relations and act as an assistant for external affairs.

(A pink hair Faeborne is recognized to be the ambassador of Fortune.)

CURRENT AMBASSADOR: SHIRI SHI SHIGENOBU

-Seneschal-
Formerly the role of governor, seneschals are tasked with the responsibility of being a direct assistant in the day to day administration of the king and queen. They can either be generalized, or set to be given a responsibility, such as military, economic, production, or otherwise internal affairs. As such, they carry royal authority in their duties.

(The princess Meri Emeraldi herself takes the first spot as seneschal, managing military affairs on behalf of the king and queen in lieu of lacking a current admiral. Is she a child prodigy? Or can it be considered nepotism?)

FIRST CURRENT SENESCHAL: MERI EMERALDI

(A talented medic, Grey Aundeoth takes the second spot as seneschal, a more general but productive assistant.

SECOND CURRENT SENESCHAL: GREY AUNDEOTH

(Grandmothered in, Meryl Malibu takes the third spot as seneschal, continuing her duties on Nilhirra. It seems that rather than being an assistant at all, her role was kept out of tradition.)

THIRD CURRENT SENESCHAL: MERYL MALIBU
