And so I stood, spear at hand;
Its end struck at the ground, drilling the loose sand;
Its blade piercing the sky, splitting scattered wind.
With my worn muscles and aged tendons,
course callous and withered bones;
.
That road whose end I failed to reach,
Would be a shame if no one saw it through.
Up on the cliff side, as I did decades ago,
I hear it once more:
.
"The gales rose, tempests swirled.
Its end struck at the ground, drilling the loose sand;
Its blade piercing the sky, splitting scattered wind.
With my worn muscles and aged tendons,
course callous and withered bones;
.
That road whose end I failed to reach,
Would be a shame if no one saw it through.
Up on the cliff side, as I did decades ago,
I hear it once more:
.
"The gales rose, tempests swirled.
and the breeze whispered onto me:
.
.
Lo and behold, I am of winds
And with but a breath
I split the Heavens and Earth
And severed Humanity from Divinities.
.
.
With it, bequeathed those beneath the firmaments,
Freedom to rise above.
.
They called thus strike;
Horizon"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A destination one can see,
Yet never once reach no matter how many steps are taken.
An utterly impossible hope to reach.
Perhaps a number of steps equivalent to the number of seconds in eternity
Could reach such a place.
.
Yet always just beyond ones grasp,
Like the moon reflecting from the pond.
.
But I saw its myriad possibilities
The intersection of Heaven and Earth
All converge upon a blade's edge
That greatest strike in the world
That scarred the very sky
Untouched by time
And remains for all to see
.
It'd be a shame for none to reach the end.
.
To you who have read this far,
Do you see it?
.
The end beyond the horizon.

For me
For now
.
It is the end of this path...
But I have a feeling,
I'll be reaching out to it regardless.
.
Even though the blade is no longer upon my grasp.
