One day, without much warning...
Mercenaries from all across Meranthe were gathered. Coin traded hands, and non-magi forces were amassed in number for an unknown purpose. In the dark, they gathered... to be greeted by the face of a terrible Demon.

"Hey guys. What's up? Ready for war?"

"I will not insult your intelligence with justification, preamble, context, or any of that nonsense. I have gathered you all here today to discuss a very special military operation; one that shall go down in history. Whether that be because we die horribly, are routed from the field, and are chased to the ends of the world- or be that because we shall all be very rich by the end of this- that will have to be determined."

The people within the crowd begin to grow anxious and restless. Many are moving for the doorways.


 "We're going after one of the biggest fish in the sea, us oversized tuna that we are. The only path forward for those of you gathered here today is to bite at the ankles of the fortunate sons and daughters of the world.

In the aftermath of the meeting, those still willing to fight and die for the Demon were given their orders. Leaks were impossible to stop from spreading, and soon it comes to the attention of the leaders of the world governments that An undead and demonic force is planning to attack the Dragons Nest! Their motivations have yet to be discovered for the world to know, but they are evidently led by A Triumvirate between the Demon Bile's Black Cabal, the undead of Morningstar, and Shargus' Horde!

“And, to those who lead, to those who ignored me for so long when I pleaded for help, and guidance, Arnet Dawnseeker, and Vokel Dawnseeker, know that this is VERY PERSONAL.”

The Nest is a hive of activity, their population has grown vastly as more Drakanites call the land their home. With such growth comes with an increase in military, the call to Arms from the Commander as an attack is launched on their very grounds.

Objective: Defend the Nest

At first, rumours, about men and women gathering to fight for a demon. The thought of that alone is insane. For mankind would not follow a demon around, let alone die and kill for one, unless they are affected by corruption. The occultic influence of demons is capable of bringing the worst of humanity.

Alas, it was soon proved to not be only rumours - but a true war declaration. As the undead, demons and mercenaries marched, the Ares Unit would soon have to mobilize as well to back one of their closest allies. The Dragon's Nest.

Officers dressed in black, accompanied by lifeless 3A models marched to the shores and borders of the Nest towards the rest of Meranthe. The bridge protected by the warriors, alongside drakanites under Mio Kazana's leadership, and next to them, stood the commander of the Ares, Raven Caewynn.

"The Ares Unit always upheld their bargain with mankind. And your leader has upheld hers. Bound and captured, leaving The Morningstar to rot.

But attempting an attack upon the West, upon the promise of mercy from your Dark Lord, is foolishness."
