We are not the same [Midpoint v Goldlight]
#1
[Image: image.png]
.
Shipments of weapons could be seen being delivered to the hub of trade; preparation for battle taking much of their attention. Rumors of mercenaries being hired and sporadic attacks occurring in the east become common place after the thwarting of Morningstar's Ritual. A victory for those of Meranthe, but born from it a new conflict, the ideals of many clashing.
.
It would all culminate in an assault on the Castle-City of Martys' Vigil. Troops donning the black suits of Midpoint are mobilized and remain on the western front of the city with a message to the leadership there - a letter from the Chairman.
.

Quote:
"I am pleased you admit to the world you consort with evil; only a fool would believe you are capable of bringing forth a better world. The leadership of all those of the Republic is a dark cloud hanging over our heads. There are necromancers freely traversing our land and their creations at the helm of what is to be the Republic's finest. The championing of wicked demons who once brought ruin to Meranthe. Witches hiding in plain sight all because Gloomlight permits it.
.
You consort and redeem evil because you claim you want a better world. You have failed at delivering that goal. You are not worthy nor capable of it. If steering things in the right direction requires I take on all...
.
So be it."

Objective: Attack the Goldlight Order and Capture Aaliyah Tal

The nascent Republic swells into action as prior war preparations meant for the Atrellyans are swiftly redirected to the appropriate fronts. Its forces mobilize effectively and without ado, eager to make good on the promise it never felt needed to stall. Mechanized armies rush from Prospera to blockade the northern pass, while the prepotent navies of Fortune and the Traverse embark to preclude any ingress via sea. Midpoint's fastest route through the southern pass strangled by the Bastion and members of Goldlight, intent on frustrating their advance before it can even witness the Vigil's borders rise over the horizon.

A word from High Chancellor Renfae.

Quote:We stand in victory against the Fel on multiple fronts, Necromancers brought to kneel as they assault our shores and attempt to corrupt the lifestream. We the Republic have done this, while Midpoint has sat idle and nary entered a war to help another nation. You asked for a deal, for a ceasefire when the horns were blown and banners were risen. You come out of hiding now, not to destroy this necromancer but to try and save them, do not attempt to hide your motivations.

Cease your inane involvement with world politics, go back to simply selling and buying; You were given a second chance at neutrality, now sit down and take it.

And yet another from his Vice Chancellor, with much choicer words on the matter.

Quote:I can tell my publication came under your skin.

Many would maintain that your worst sin is Greed, but I do not believe that to be the case. A shrewd man of business would know how egregiously incompetent you have been at conducting yours--beginning with your open espousal of witches and everything in between as legitimate clientele. What was your slogan again? "Coin does not discriminate"? I suppose your ethics and your values change hands as quickly as the coins in your marketplace. The world is not yet young enough to forget how your childish tantrum started, and why we bore against you.

I know the Gregoris name quite well: descendants of Myron Gregoris the failed necromancer of Skarnfel, son to Jezebel Gregoris the witch, descendant of Glufdor the Mad Titan Necromancer. I have her signed book of shadows in my collection as a little memento. It's cute that you can pretend to be a fruit fallen far from the tree. Your actions thus far have proven you're still on its branches.

Are you going to bring up Solomon?

I had the nyctorre melted off his scythe; you're still trading nyctorre at a premium.

It is not Greed that drives you. You are far too stupid to be any such champion of it. Pride and spite are your chief modes of operation, and this is the proof. Atrellyans invade in four years, and rather than aiding the continent in preparation, you seek to weaken those around you--further corroborating the fact that you truly are Atrellyan collaborators.

You are correct in echoing my words back: we are not the same.

You are filth.

A mere mournful comment from Oracle Loramelian.

Quote:We gave you a chance. It's so very disappointing that this is how you chose to use it.

And lastly, a word from the Senator of the Vigil himself, Lazarus.

Quote:To think one goes through every singular effort, to do things right, and still there are those that will do nothing but detract, destroy and divide.

The Institute was entrusted to handle Midpoint, while expected to respect and return the favour unto the other side.
And I hear only silence or outright support for this, when they were given leniency time and time again to do better.

And now Midpoint itself, informed that those of them who had suffered from Morningstar would be participating in an eventual trial to decide her fate.
Deciding that they can benefit from the renown of hanging Aaliyah Khalas, without the right preparations, and thus unleashing an Oscuri of Azrael onto the next cycle.

Detractors, that care only to jump into the spotlight seeking glory while hounding those that fight for Man, as they take their chance to divide the Peninsula while the Atrellyan invasion force near closer every year.
One must wonder who they act in the benefit of, with these high efforts at disunity at every turn.

The Church of Harmony, and Lady Azalea Aubreen,  were contacted to cleanse Undead, and has been in close cooperation with The Order for years for this task.
And now this tantrum from merchants who act like they care about morality delays this work, and wastes Her Ladyship´s time.

My Homeland has tales, of heroes who endured all odds and lived despite certain death claiming them, as they endured until their duty truly ended.
The same tales, that speak of a young miracle worker granted the light of Pylae to perform grand works,  going as far as to reviving a dead sailor, before she was burnt at a pyre by dogmatic zealots - She was immortalized as a Saint, and the "young heroes" as idiots, utilized as a lesson in morality for young children.

In the words of my Homeland:

"Ar ben hynny, rwyf o’r farn bod angen dinistrio Midpoint"

The recent mobilization of Midpoint's army was backed by a diversity of synthetics. From small drones tasked with minor labour, from 2-A and 3-A models equipped with proper armour and weapons. Mana rifles from the Dryden Industries are given out to officers and 3-As alike, and upon their bodies the armour of the Ares Unit.

Final Frontier marches from west to east, the drums of war unending as it accompanies Midpoint's forces. The Republic's defences are met with precise attack. Technology meets technology upon the blockade of Prospera. The warriors of the Bastion and Goldlight alike fighting enemies made of steel and mythril. It is safe to say that the boats that travel through the sea are filled with very much the same.

Though not very strong per se, their strength relied on numbers - for drones and the previous models are easy to craft.

Nonetheless, at the front of this army, is where the Commander of the Ares Unit stood, accompanied by other high-ranking officers, guiding this synthetic army forward.

Quote:"I see the Republic fights with words."
"Save your speeches. We will take Aaliyah Tal and she will be executed for her crimes."
"If this Oscuri comes back, we will simply kill it again."

"Glory for the Institute."

OBJECTIVE: Advance with Midpoint and capture Aaliyah Tal.

From the north what could only be seen as many Drakanites preparing for conflict, their claws sharpened, armor polished, and many marching forth with the insignia that stood proud for the likes of the Dragon's Nest. The call to war was approaching, and in the end, even if it was initially left to the likes of two nations, such warriors would look to halt the Republic's counter-assault in the coming days.

All the while the Commander of the Nest's word was spread:

Quote:"Man do you people know how to talk alot about how your view and acts are right, and others are wrong. Such powerful words coming from those who spend their days hiding away like worms and sparing those who never deserved such. Throwing out such accusations of being redeemers when all you do is protect the likes of those who should have been executed. Well no more, if you're going to finally come out of your hole to fight then be prepared to fight. Otherwise hide away like before and give what is due so others may deliver proper judgement."

Compared to other nations of the West, Serenity seems to be the last to make their announcement. Some speculate this delay was due to a recent visit from the oracle, which took even the higher-ups of the nation by surprise. While the details of the conversation remain largely unknown to the greater public, the kingdom's intentions remain unchanged.

The concept of trust did not exist, for those who hide things for far too long and kept their intentions hidden through plots could not be trusted... There seems to be not much of a interest towards the propaganda's has been done through both sides. Only the truth and it's proper correction that is been seek by those of Serenity.Followed by this, words of an meeting would move across the desert. One between the warden and the king himself.

Warriors of the Dune Vanguard, started their preparation which followed by a announcement that is been made. Rations, equipment and furthermore necessary precautions acts had prepared to guarantee the success of their mission.
