The Grim Auction - Suzerain's Apprentice

"Another is welcomed onto the stage."

It didn't take long for news of another being auctioned off by the Deathwind Fleet. Perhaps it would come as a surprise, that a hated foe would be spared from the macabre ending that being held captive could bring. Neaira, the apprentice of the Suzerain Mnemosyne Montelione was being auctioned off as the third item within The Grim Auction. The captive obtained by the crow of the Fleet, Kar'anann.

A similar situation as the previous auction was held. Parchment spread throughout taverns and across Meranthe; a picture of the captive beneath every piece of paper. The method of how to place your bid written clearly across the parchment.

Whispers followed within establishments that this was merely the beginning of a string of auctions, and it wasn't merely precious goods that was the primary focus of the Fleet's assault, but the ransoming of individuals.

A new poster joined the first. An announcement of a second addition to the first piece displayed in the auction. The pair now completing a set; an owner and her weapon. The trident named Collective Hopes. A three-pronged spear that is forged from a meteorite, alongside a few points of reinforcement from arcanium ore. The weapon boasting a formdiable power compared to the most common weapon that a magi may wield within their lifetime.

Alongside the method of bidding, there was a personal message left behind.

"Sincerity seems to be lacking these days. This sirenian has plenty more trinkets than the trash the previous pair had, so I suppose we'll have to once again auction off two items. Do remember the Deathwind Fleet is looking to make a profit, and such can easily be obtained elsewhere by more nefarious means."
