Amongst the dusty dunes of the desert, hidden in the northwest of the Expanse lies a community called "Nightview".

In the silence of the night, stars above are watched and examined while the light of the observatory hums with the glow of the Star Realm, connecting Nightview to the stars in such a way any may walk amongst them...

Talk amongst the residents has spoken of an upcoming trial of honor to be conducted soon of the one known as Xiao Amamiya.

For years, Xiao "Vermillion" Amamiya has lived in Nightview and stepped up, time and time again, to act in the interests of Nightview and her people. Her ascent to her status as a warrior of Nightview has not been without note by many. Her sword and armor, both proof of her determination to Nightview, have shown her dedication to her home.

Xiao's many feats and achievements will be laid before Oliphr and Nera at her hearing, one of a more traditional Shengese style to discuss and determine what title she should bear, should one be appropriate.

Friends, family and allies of Xiao Amamiya are invited to attend to speak to her achievements and prowess as a person, a citizen, a warrior and a woman of honor at her hearing in Nightview. Only the truth shall be offered up, as lies only serve to tarnish honor and cloud judgement. Once the judgement has been set, the verdict will be handed down without hindrance-
The verdict is final.

The dunes whisper this news beyond the Expanse as tales are brought beyond the borders of the sand, allowing all who know
Xiao "Vermillion" Amamiya to step forward and rend their words to her character, to her personality, to her attributes-

Formal attire is requested (or as close to formal as one has, minimum is non-bloodied clothing)
Weapons are to remain sheathed at all times during the trial unless otherwise stated.

Many came to the event, many stood witness to the hearing and many offered their words to Nera and Oliphr.

Xiao Amamiya
Standing before both Nera and Oliphr, gave answer to the questions asked of her.
"What have you done for the people of Meranthe?"
"What have you done for Nightview?"
"What have you done for the Stars?"

The last question, of which, was answered by those in attendance:
"What legacy will you leave behind?"

Xiao Amamiya was noted as a good mother, a noble warrior, a good friend, a trusted ally and much more.
Words from those close to her, all giving credence to how worthy of note Xiao was and words of praise for the good she had done on the behest of others, both in and out of combat were given in abundance.

Words of high regard, notes of achievements in combat, dedication to her beliefs in Gala, her kindness to those of Meranthe and her aid to Nightview's growth swayed the minds of Nera and Oliphr in her favor. The title of 'samurai' being too low in honor and rank for all of her accolades, Nera and Oliphr agreed to granting her the title:
