Quote:The Skeuophoros: In ancient tongues, the term Skeuophoros translates to "Bearer of the Broken; they a vital role in the organization and logistics of the army, responsible for the procurement, storage, and distribution of equipment and supplies, as well as ensuring troops are adequately prepared for battle. Each Hoplite has at least one under them, and all Skeuophoros should have one Hoplite they answer to. The lowest on the chain of command, they are also typically used as proverbial punching bags - This is to enhance both their partners, and their own personal skill and power.

This being said, the Skeuophoros hold a position of significant importance, as the effectiveness of the Titanlands depend heavily on the efficient management of resources. They are tasked with overseeing the gathering and transportation of essential materials, such as food, water, and armament to the front lines. This entails coordinating with suppliers, negotiating prices, and arranging for the transportation of goods - Often over long distances.

Beyond logistical duties, the Skeuophoros are also responsible for the maintenance and repair of equipment, including armor, weapons, and machinery. They are to ensure the arsenal of Mor D'hora are in good working order, retrofitting and replacing items as needed. This attention to detail is crucial, as faulty equipment could mean the difference between victory and defeat on the battlefield.

Quote:The Hoplites: Be it the bellowing roar of a minotaur or the piercing screech of a harpy, these are the mainline bulk and prided namesake of the Titanlands' forces, embodying both ferocity and discipline in equal measure. A Hoplite is more than just a warrior; they are the backbone of the monster army. Their primary role is to form the front line of defense, shielding their comrades from the enemy's attacks, and raise hell when brought before one whom might bring them low.

Clad in imposing armor forged from the strongest cores willed from the very spirits of their manifestation, Hoplites are very near impervious to harm to anything less than a magi. They wield massive banners emblazoned with the symbols of Mor D'hora, with brutal power designed to crush and shred their foes. Hoplites are also expected to possess exceptional tactical prowess, able to adapt to ever-changing battlefields and coordinate with their monstrous brethren to execute devastating maneuvers - No small feat for mere beasts. Yet, is it no

They are the anchors of the army's battle lines, holding fast against even the most ferocious assaults. To become a Hoplite, a monster must demonstrate unwavering loyalty, unbridled ferocity, and an unshakeable commitment to the army's cause. Only the strongest and most cunning creatures are chosen for this elite rank, and even then, they must undergo a rigorous training regimen...

Quote:The Lochagos: Among the snarling beasts and bloodthirsty fiends, one rank stands out as a beacon in the night: the Lochagos. This elite echelon of monstrosity commands respect, veneration, and awe from its peers, and its presence is meant to strike dread into the hearts of the Titanlands' enemies. This esteemed rank is bestowed upon seasoned warriors who had demonstrated exceptional bravery, tactical prowess, strength, and leadership skills on the battlefield.

As a key component of the Hoplite legion, the Lochagos are responsible for ensuring the effective deployment of troops and the successful execution of military campaigns, using both lower ranks as a means to the whole. As a senior officer, the Lochagos are entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities. First and foremost, they are responsible for the training and discipline of their personal troops. This includes overseeing drill exercises, combat training, and tactical maneuvers to ensure that their soldiers were battle-ready. Out of war, they are also tasked with maintaining morale, settling disputes, and upholding military discipline within their units.

During battles, the Lochagos play a crucial role in coordinating troop deployments and executing battlefield tactics - Or, if they hold the might, to simply bash through the defenses of those whom dare confront them. They work in smooth tandem with higher-ranking officers to implement battle plans and adapt to changing circumstances on the battlefield for their King. The Lochagos are also responsible for conveying orders and instructions to their troops, ensuring the Hoplites remain cohesive and effective.

Quote:The Taxiarhos: A Taxiarhos is where the high-ranking officers truly begin, entrusted as they are with leading elite squads of fearsome creatures into battle. These seasoned veterans are handpicked by both Polyphemus and the ruling council, who recognize exceptional bravery, strategic acumen, as well as an unwavering commitment to the cause as merits of endearment towards this rank. The Taxiarhos is responsible for leading battalions, directing the tactics inherited from the previous rank, and coordinating attacks to achieve the strategic objectives.

On top of making critical decisions regarding troop deployment, they are also meant to execute flanking maneuvers and ambushes - Before this, however, they are the ones whom conduct reconnaissance, fathering intelligence on enemy forces and other factions, as well as advising the ruling council of matters of both war, and diplomacy. With considerations of the many battles they aught to have participated in, these revered leaders are expected to possess a deep understanding of the battlefield - And the ability to anticipate enemy movements, as well as counter the enemies own strategies...

Just as their kings shadow eclipses the sun, this rank is meant to march upon its outline even as it stretches forth; The term 'Taxiarhos' is derived from ancient tongues, roughly translating to 'army leader', the value of this esteemed position held openly within the monster army, denoting a level of authority and prowess unmatched by most of its brethren. To come this far, is the first step of becoming part of the council - Though no voice is unheard, this rank is the first to be able to speak freely with works holding true weight.

Quote:The Polemarch: The Polemarch is a high-ranking commander within the Titanlands' army, responsible for leading the most ferocious and terrifying creatures into battle. This esteemed position is reserved for the most cunning, ruthless, and powerful of beast, who have earned the respect and admiration of their peers through their brutal prowess on the battlefield. A Polemarch is not merely a warrior, but a master of themselves, capable of orchestrating complex battles and exploiting the weaknesses of their enemies; they are expected to Fight, and Fight Well.

They possess an intimate understanding of the strengths and limitations of each monster under their command, expertly deploying them to maximize the exact amount of destruction and chaos their king sees fit. Beyond combat, the Polemarch is also responsible for maintaining military discipline, being something of a Lord; enforcing laws and regulations within the army, and overseeing the distribution of rewards and punishments is one of the foremost measures of their intent, picking up the slack of Polyphemus as he sleeps. They are to ensure the soldiers received fair treatment, regardless of race, for they are all under the same creed. All will be trained; all will be developed; and all will be formidable.

The Polemarch reports directly to the Stratigos, whom will be spoken of soon; as the bulk of the council, they are entrusted with the authority to make tactical decisions, mobilize troops, and coordinate assaults on a grand scale, having siphoned all the previous ranks collective information and formatting them in a means capable of immediate employment. In times of war, the Polemarches serve as the left-hand of the ruler, acting as both a trusted advisor and fierce enforcer of Polyphemus' will. There is much on their plate - Yet they are expected to carry out each with upmost will. For without them, the war against the gods are lost.

Quote:The Stratigos: A Stratigos - The Right Hand of the King and sole of their rank - is responsible for leading vast armies of monsters into combat, utilizing their forcefully earned knowledge of tactics and strategy to outmaneuver and defeat their enemies. They are not just masters of the battlefield, capable of adapting to any situation and exploiting the weaknesses of their foes, but also the one responsible for coordinating the movements of various bestial units; from the towering giants of the artillery corps to the swift, deadly assassins of the scout regiments.

A Stratigos must possess these traits - exceptional cognitive abilities, able to analyze complex battle scenarios and devise innovative strategies to achieve victory. The ability to inspire loyalty and devotion in their troops is crucial, as a Stratigos must be able to rally their forces in the heat of battle. A skilled warrior, capable of holding their own against even the most formidable foes... As well as The willingness to make difficult, calculated decisions, even if they result in the sacrifice of their own troops; these are the hallmarks of a true Stratigos.

Furthermore, a Stratigos must possess exceptional diplomatic skills, as they are often required to negotiate with other monster factions when Polyphemus is elsewhere engaged, forging alliances and brokering deals to further the interests of their own army. They are, in short, expected to be the axillary King, being able to inspire their troops, motivating them to fight with ferocity and dedication in the face of overwhelming odds. That said, no two kings are alike, and having opposing opinions is needed in order for both to grow.

Quote:
The Unstoppable March of the Hoplites
As the Hoplites march across the land, they leave a trail of destruction in their wake. Their sheer size and strength are only matched by their ferocity and cunning. But what drives them to such heights of ambition...?

The answer lies in the hubris of man, from which their King is born from. The Hoplites are his manifestation of his desire to challenge the gods, to defy the natural order, and to assert their dominance over Avalon. They are the physical embodiment of humanity's darkest impulses, and they will stop at nothing to achieve their ultimate goal.

Or Will You Join Them?
Remember, in the face of the Hoplites, you are but a mere mortal, standing against an unstoppable tide of monsters and titans. Will you dare to challenge the hubris of man, forced to yield to the unrelenting march of the Legion of Monsters? Or...

Will you challenge Fate itself. Stare into its eye. And slash it down with sword in hand?
