In the primitive/ancient depths of Delphina's woodlands, an emerging brotherhood is beginning to take roots. By portraying Nemea aspect as the Hunt's Mother, this group's members expose this facet. Their mutual zeal for hunting and chasing preys throughout Meranthe binds them together. They are called The Tuatha, the Lords of the Hunt.
In poem and song they fight, wry humor and sharp wit as cutting as much as spell and blade. Wearing the blood of their prey with honor, letting the highs and lows of the hunt fill them completely, unashamed of displaying all of their emotions. In towns we act with poise and elegance, noble of bearing as befits the lords of the hunt.
In repose tall tails will be spun, works of art created, poems spoken, and verses sung. A dance of joy, a waltz of sorrow. For in the hunt we create art, outside we do so as well.
Betrayal is anathema to the notions of the Hunt. You trust your companions to protect your side as you stalk your prey, and a betrayal loses that trust. For the Tuatha, betrayal means you in turn will be hunted.
Ranks
Hunter: There are no ranks other than Hunter. All are equal in the hunt of Nemea who have taken the oaths of the Tuatha. During a hunt, the one who organized it will act as the huntmaster, leading the hunters, but returning to a hunter as soon as the hunt is done.Rituals
-When a successful hunt happens, each member of the hunt will take a small bite of the fresh kill. To honor its still warm flesh. The one who has striked the killing blow has the honor of drinking its heart blood. The body of the prey will be harvested to our best of the ability, all parts used in some way. [Note: Humanoid and fel life are not eaten, for this goes against the laws of Nemea]- When a creature, person or faction has harmed a brother/sister of the hunt. Or if they break the laws of Nemea, a wild hunt may be called. Where all the Tuatha will gather into one hunting party to hunt down this prey. When a Wild hunt is declared, paint made from a Sinka flower will be inscribed on the flesh. Burning and helping to hone their rage, only the blood of a foe will wash this off in battle.
How to Join
Find a member of the Tuatha, covered in the blood of your hunt, dried or fresh. Offer them a piece of what you have hunted. The Hunter will ask you if you are ready to devote yourself to a life of the hunt. To use wit and wry humor during a battle. To honor the mother of the hunt. If you accept, you are made a full hunter. [Any monster drop will do be it a lupin rabbit foot/wind crystal or something bigger]If you wish to leave the Tuatha, simply go to a hunter and ask to be relieved of your oath. A hunter will speak to you and accept your cycle and season has changed. No longer a Lord of the hunt, you may go freely with glad tidings.
-We are scions of the hunt. Embracing the wild side of Nemea.
-Enjoy the thrill of the hunt, the spray of blood on your body from your kill, and tasting the first bite of still warm flesh of what you have hunted. Do note we are not cannibals
-Wear your emotions fully, your grief, your rage, your joy. None of these are things to be ashamed of. For it is part of our lives that we must live to the fullest.
-Have a poem on your lips, a song on your breath, a dance of your feet, a brush in your hand. In battle speak words of verse, in repose bring forth your artistic talents.
-Just as we are wild on the hunt, we are noble of bearing. We act with poise and elegance in town.
-Your brothers and sisters of the hunt share your bond, bound together by the thrill of the hunt. We will never betray another, and even if our paths diverge we are always filled with joy when our trails cross again.
-No brother or sister is greater in rank during a hunt or outside of it. Whomever is leading the hunt is in charge of the hunt, but share in the spoils and thrills. You may be just a hunter in the next hunt.
-Every item is useful in some way when a creature is butchered. Waste not the gift of the hunt.
-Break not the laws of Nemea
